I sat by the sea side, staring at the vast water that spread about beneath it with all thoughts running in my mind.To say I had loved the job would be a lie, I hated it yet I had no choice, it did pay my bills." Stacey!!!," Edna called, running towards me, a wide smile spread on my lips as I watched her run to me with a huge smile on her face.

i wanted to give her everything beautiful in the world, but the truth was that I was incapable of doing so, there was so much I couldn't do." Be careful or you might fall," I shouted, standing to my feet.

" Don't worry, I won't ," she mumbled, as her body collided with mine, she hugged my neck.

" Are you alright?," I couldn't help but ask, she shook her head.

" i'm good, thank you, thank you so much, "

" What for?"

" Bringing me here, I know you've been busy but you still managed to bring me here,i'm so happy Sta," She released me and kissed my cheek to which I chuckled.

" Alright, I am happy you are happy," She had always wanted to visit the beach but I had been to busy working to do so.Now that I lost my Job, I decided to fulfill her wish the next day.
" Let's go play by the water," i said, running towards the water.

" wait for me!!!," Edna ran after me.I splashed some water on her before she could get any closer." Ahhh," she quickly ran to the other side and splashed me some water.We played with the water for hours until we were exhausted, to exhausted to even lift our bodies, we stayed until nighttime then we left for home.

Edna fell asleep as soon as we got into the Taxi while me on the other hand couldn't get a wink of sleep at the thought of tomorrow.The end of the month, the day I have dreaded since I turned seventeen, and like any other end of the month there was no escape from the dreadful day.

I laid Edna gently on the bed and laid beside her, it was just 7:30 yet I was exhausted.
Before I forgot, I took off her clothes and changed her into her night dress then I layed behind her hugging her to myself." Goodnight," I whispered, kissing her forehead.

" Bye ," I smiled.

" bye," Edna said softly then she ran to join her mates walking into the school gate.As I stood there and watched her back, memories of the first day she went to kindergarten rushed back to me, to imagine she was this grown and beautiful.

" is she your daughter?," A woman asked behind me and I quickly wiped my tear. Why was i crying?

" sort of," I replied, looking at the woman dressed in a white bodycon gown adorning her figures like they were made for it.

The Woman smiled," you look too young to be a mother,"

" I know," I said, not explaining further to which she smiled with her plump pink lips as her almond hazel eyes scrutinized me.

" I mean no harm child," she frowned and only then did I notice the wrinkles on her face, I would say she was about thirty years or more.

"I understand," I stated." I need to go, Good bye,"

" see you around," She waved, yet her face held some kind of conflicted feeling. I returned home thinking of finding a new job which isn't as easy as it seems.I sighed. On getting home, my mouth hung wide open as my stomach churned in dread at the sight of the three burly men standing by door. a snake tattoo at the side of their shoulders.

" Look who's here!," The one i knew as K smirked. My father owned them 2 Million dollars and he was only able to pay 600 000 dollars before he died and I had been the one paying the rest since his death.
