NANDINI'S POV:

I let out a dreamy sigh when I noticed the big house- Sorry, not a house, but a mansion, standing in front of me, big, tall and proud. It looked as if someone who rules an entire country would take this as a shelter. No wonder why Mr. Asim Aman was known to be one of the richest and most striking men of the country. But it doesn't mean that aunt Aayat was any less. In the era of people spreading memes like 'I am just a girl', aunt Aayat literally proved what being a girl actually means. It means power, independence, hard work and success.

With both of them being the tech couple, they brought up two beautiful daughters, Jannat and Mannat. And they were the exact copy of their parents. Mature, Understanding and hella short tempered as well. Jannat di was more of an expressive person who used her right to speech a little too much and very effectively at that. She knew how to own what she does and to justify the reason behind her doing. She was the bubbly beautiful girl who could turn into a fierce tigress when the situation demands for it. Meanwhile Mannat di was the silent one. She never spoke until it was required. She did have fun but in her own ways which were never understood by any of us. She used to be a bubbly girl as well, but she suddenly became silent a few years ago and when she was asked about why she had become silent, she claimed that she was normal and wasn't feeling like speaking. Eventually everyone got used to this and blamed puberty for it. But if it was really puberty or was their any other reason behind it, that only the god knew and Mannat di knew.  However, she knew to fight for her rights as well, just that she would do it in a more calm and sophisticated way and even before the person opposite to her would realize, she would've won the argument. That quality of hers was lethal.

In short, the duo of these sisters could bring the entire world down on its knees if they tried and the thought of it alone made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. But nevertheless, they were the sweetest with me and the other kids of our mothers' best friends. Though they were just an year older than us, they were like our guardians. They helped us out whenever we were stuck, both academically as well as emotionally. Though I'd never needed their assistance in the past, I think I would need their advises in the present while taking the things going on in my life into consideration.

I was still gawking at the serene structure in front of my eyes with all these thoughts running in my mind when maa nudged me to bring me out of my trance.

LYKA: Lost in the beauty of the house?

I just chuckled and nodded at her while we heard the sound of a whistle behind us. A small smile appeared on Maa's face. We both knew who it was.

We turned around slowly and witnessed dad while he stood with his back against the side of the car. We both walked towards him, well Maa walked and I ran towards him to bid him a farewell before we could engage the crazy girls' night. I engulfed him in a tight hug as soon as I was near him and he patted my head followed by planting a gentle kiss on the top of my head.

SATHYA: Enjoy yourself princess.

NANDINI: I will! love you dad. I'll miss you.

SATHYA: Well, you were the one who chose to betray me.

I chuckled slightly at his cute argument while maa slapped his bicep lightly.

LYKA: Stop sulking like a kid.

SATHYA: No, mrs. Verma, you have absolutely no right to hit me after you've decided to stay away from me for an entire night.

NANDINI: You're such a romeo, dad.

SATHYA: Still, my juliet doesn't care about me.

Maa shut him up with a pointed glare to which he responded by performing a gesture of zipping his mouth and raising his hands to show that he had surrendered. Maa chuckled at his behaviour and he slightly pulled towards himself and planted a sweet and gentle kiss on her forehead while she couldn't hide the blush covering her face.

They were still like those newly married couple even after all these years. Who said the spark doesn't last? beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. And in both their eyes, this relationship was too beautiful to lose the spark.

I would love to have a similar kind of bond with someone in the future. I quickly drove away the demons out of my brain.

LYKA: Well, its your best friend's house, you know. So you could join us for the dinner too.

SATHYA: Nah, you guys go ahead. We men and different ways of expressing our friendship.

LYKA: Men and their manly ways. both are senseless.

Dad slightly chuckled at the annoyed face maa made and planted kisses on both our heads before driving back to our home.

Me and maa walked towards the main door of the house and even before maa could knock the door, it was opened by aunt Aayat. If best friend telepathy isn't a thing, then it should be considered for sure. These women were crazy for each other and could understand each others' feelings and read each others' minds even before uttering a word.

As soon as both the ladies came face to face, they let out a loud and excited scream and engulfed each other in a tight hug. Well, them meeting each other is a very rare encounter so this much of excitement is allowed I guess.

AAYAT: Oh my god I can't tell you how much I missed you. It's been like forever since we've met each other.
