It's been 2 days since my pregnancy reveal.

That day after the fight with Dev I called him to apologize. We are going to work together in 'The Enquirers' so I made peace with him.

After fainting infront of Vihaan I got so scared of what he'd say if he knows about my pregnancy. So I cried after waking up.

But after my revelation seeing his expression was priceless. It was a mixture of fear, happiness, hope and love.

And since that moment I knew.

I knew that he'd be the best father to my child.

"Daddy will protect you from the ghosts. I promise"

His vow echoes in my mind again and again making my heart ache at the thought of his childhood.

With that I told him to leave then he left without a word.

But the next morning his car was parked outside the house. I tried to tell him to go away.

"I want to take you to work on your first day." He said while I stared at him open mouthed.

He is okay with this?! Me working for another firm? The Enquirers?

So I suspiciously got into it and he gave me a box of chocolates. My favourite kind.

My heart warmed at his thoughtfulness.

Then without a word he leaned towards the backseat and pulled a bouquet of sunflowers.

"This is for you." He handed me it casually and started to drive.

I cleared my dry throat and said, "You don't have to do this all just because I am pregnant." I averted my eyes when he looked at me so suddenly like I struck him.

"I am doing this for you. Baby or not." He says in a hard tone.

"Then where were you during the first week when I came to Nitya's home? You didn't even try." I say shaking my head disappointedly.

"I was there but I won't tell you how." A dark gleam passes his eyes, "I was trying to find the person who tried to frame you against me and punish her infront of you. That's why it took me time to come back to you."

I clench my hands together in his justification. Yes, I wanted him to find the truth.

I don't reply him anything even when he steals glances once in a while.
