The next day I power-walk into 'The Enquirers' with confident steps. My ponytail flies at the force.

Today I am going back home. To my Vihaan.

I told Nitya about the change of plans at first she was upset that she couldn't 'coparent' the baby as she calls it but then she squealed in happiness and hugged me tight and wished me luck.

"I hope you never find out the horrors of living alone Shivi. I want you to be happy with your new family. You aren't meant to be alone." She said.

Shadows of darkness passed over her face and her words meant that she's hiding something.

I asked her what she meant but she brushed me off and said that it's that she's emotional about me leaving.

I am not letting this go. She has been acting weird since her breakup with that prick Ritesh who cheated on her. Soon we are going to catch up and speak about that.

Suddenly I come to a halt hearing the commotion in the office. Everyone's pacing around and working.

Some even have sit down and talking in low voices. I could feel something is wrong.

So I ask Renu, a girl from Tech about what happened.

"You didn't see the news?" She whispers. I shake my head in denial.

What is happening?

"Rohit Singh commited suicide this morning." She says and I gasp.

"He didn't come to the office since the Rajputh-Raichand scandal. I think he was mentally ill. He was a good writer." She sighs, "He even has left a note about him taking prescriptions for mental sickness. Now that he is dead, the authenticity of his recent research about Rajputh Raichand scandal will be questioned." she clicks her tongue in disappointment.

"He will be missed." She finishes at last and leaves with a paper in hand.

I stand in my place rooted staring at nothing. Tears of frustration forms in my vision.

I am 100% sure it was not a suicide. Because he was not mentally ill. He wanted to bring light to the crimes that was happening.

This is a murder.
