Alyssa's P.O.V.

"What can I get for you today?" I asked the elderly lady sitting at a table in the coffee shop.

"I'll have a decaf please." She said with her shaky voice.

"Okay, coming right up!" I smiled brightly and went to get her some coffee. I filled the cup up and brought it over to her. I turned to go back to the counter when I saw Nate walk in. He had a big smile on his face unlike the previous times I had seen him. He came up to me and immedietly pulled me in for a big hug. I was taken aback at his sudden change of behavior. I hoped that I was getting my best friend back.

"Alyssa, I am seriously so sorry for treating you so badly lately. I've just been having problems recently. I went through two breakups and I started drinking and it got out of hand. Please please forgive me. I just want to be friends again like how we used to be. We were so close. Remember?" His eyes held sorrow behind them and I could tell that he meant what he said.

"I'm sorry as well, Nate. I shouldn't have been so snappy. I want to be friends again too. You really need to stop drinking though. It's not good for you and you're gonna get yourself hurt." I said. He nodded.

"I promise." I smiled.

"That's a good boy." He sat down at one of the stools and the bar and I got him some coffee.

"So how has it been living with that Hagrid guy?" He asked.

"His name is Harry." I corrected him.

"And it's been normal...I guess." I said.

"Are you guys like fuck buddies or something?" I was shocked at his choice of words.

"No....no!" I quickly said. His words began to make me question what Harry and I really were. Was I just there for his own personal pleasure? We never called it official and we have just been friends with benefits. The thought saddened me. Was he just lying to me and leading me on to deserve me so I would have sex with him? I pushed the thoughts away immedietly but something in the back of my head kept reminding me.

"So why do you still live with him?" He asked.

"I have nowhere else to go." I said. I really didn't but I couldn't tell Nate the truth. He would get mad and I didn't want to start things off to a bad start.

"I told you that you could live with me. Remember?"

"Yeah, but Harry has more room at his place. I would feel like I would be over crowding you if I moved in." I said, half truthfully.

"You wouldn't be. I get lonely actually...with nobody around." He said sadly. I frowned. It must be lonely for him to live alone. He was the type of person who was very outgoing and loved being around people. I was the complete opposite. There were only a few people who I enjoyed being with.

"Well just so you know, the offer still stands to live with me whenever you need it." He smiled at me.

"Thank you." I hugged his body, noticing for the first time that he had become thinner. Had he been loosing weight? He didn't need to loose weight. Why did he all of a sudden drop a noticeable amount of pounds?

"I tell you what. Why don't you come over to my house for a sleepover or something one of these days? We haven't hung out in a while." He suggested.

"That sounds great!" I said.

"Okay how about Thursday?" He asked.

"Sounds good to me." He smiled happily.
