"How did we get here??"
wondered Minho, overwhelmed by the amount of students who had come over to greet him.
Like, sure, some of his studies had gotten a bit of attention but he wasn't that famous, was he??
He felt grateful when his phone started ringing.
"I'm sorry, students. I really need to take this. See you in class" he said quickly, grabbing his leather bag and walking out as fast as possible...not noticing that someone was following him.
"Hey, sweetie" he said softly into the phone.
"Minmin!" exclaimed his overly excited fiancee, Yoona:
"How are things going over there?? God, it was so hard, waking up without you this morning... I can't believe I have to handle a whole year of this"Minho's lips curled into an adoring smile, hearing Yoona's sweet complaints:
"All good here, I got jumped by students tho""Did you, now? And how many of them were girls?" she teased.
"Yoona..."
She laughed her crystal clear laugh:
"Oh, you know I'm kidding Min. Who can blame them! My fiance is crazy hot after all""I miss you so much" Minho confessed and as he said it he realised how very true it was. Yoona's presence was like a void in his heart waiting to be filled...except there was nothing to fill it with.
"Oh honey..." she cooed:
"It'll be over before you know it, I promise. Now go do your job, come on!""Allright, allright... have a good day, sweetie"
"You too, Min!"
Minho closed the call, already feeling more positive about everything that was going on. He was lucky to have Yoona by his side. Very lucky.
"Ehm... goodmorning" a voice said right that second:
"You're Mr Lee, right?"Minho turned around and met a pair of big brown eyes. The boy was slightly shorter than him and wore a pair of formal black trousers, a white dress-shirt and a tie that looked more appropriate for a punk-rock concert than a university campus. He had a few piercings and a dangly earring fell from his left ear. Instead, his hair was curled and fell nicely around his soft-looking cheeks. The ensemble came off as incoherent and yet....somehow it worked.
"Yeah... that would be me"
"I'm Han Jisung" he said, voice sure, extending his hand for Minho to take.
Minho shook it, baffled.
"Well, this is the last thing I expected"
Was this really Seungmin's favorite pupil? He just didn't look like the type of person Seungmin would hang around...
"Let's try to get along then"he said, hoping he didn't sound threatening.
Jisung's eyes met his for a second then the younger looked back to the ground. Minho shuffled with his own tie, suddenly feeling on edge.
"Is it ok if I call you Jisung or do you prefer Mr Han?" he asked, trying to soften the atmosphere.
Jisung waved his hands around, seeming embarassed:
"Nono, Jisung is fine, totally fine... Mr Han just feels so...""...adult?" Minho smiled.
"Yeah..." Jisung looked up at him once again.
"I feel you... So, Jisung. How about this tour?"
They walked side by side for a good hour, Jisung talking and Minho listening. He would present an area then get lost in endless anectodes about it, he'd narrate and narrate and once he realised he had been talking too much he'd stumble on his words, cough and lead Minho elsewhere.
Minho found it endearing, actually.
He staid in silence most of the time, adding a few hums here and there to show he was paying attention but he instead was lost analising Jisung's nervous gesturing and the useless yet fun facts that kept spewing from his mouth.
"Now I get why Seungmin is so fond of him..."
It was just very hard not to be.
