"Time's up! Everyone hand over your papers, immediately! No cheating. Come on, chop chop!"
The students started rising up in messy waves, giving away their exam papers with many different expressions. Some people seemed happy, others extremely disappointed. Minho watched them come and go, definitely not looking forward to having to correct all of the bullshit they had probably written down. But then his eyes met Jisung's.
"Right" he thought with a genuine smile:
"I'll have him to help me"He kept his eyes on Jisung until the very last student left the room, door slamming shut as the echo of that noise spread in the giant space.
"How'd they do?" he asked softly, busy admiring how sweet Jisung's face looked compared to all the piercings that decorated it:
"You know what? I was expecting worse" the other admitted as he walked over.
"Same" their hands were now intertwined and Minho was pulling Jisung closer until they were wrapped in a half-hug.
"I think we won't have much trouble correcting these" the assistant mumbled in the professor's neck.
"Good because I had other plans for today..." said Minho's lips before pressing a kiss on his skin.
Jisung trembled at that then let out a sigh, detatching himself from the embrace just enough to look Minho in the eye:
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" he asked and stared at him intently, curious about his response.
For some reason, Minho felt under evaluation. He felt that he needed to give the right answer, like he was the one doing the exam this time.
He thought about it a bit then chuckled:
"No, it's a horrible idea. But..."and he cupped Jisung's face:
"I've never wanted anything more than this"
Jisung's eyes sparkled, his mouth slightly open in surprise then Minho felt his cheeks get warm under his hands.
" 'Llright then" he grumbled.
"What was that?" teased Minho, squishing his face:
"Shuddup" was all Jisung managed to say, cheeks disfigured under Minho's fingers to form a small frown.
"He's so cute"
Minho thought and finally united their lips. The kiss was slow this time, affectionate but the professor still felt tingles all over as their mouths played with eachother. He kissed and kissed even after their lips detatched, placing butterfly touches all over his face.
Jisung giggled. He looked ethereal, happy like that.
Minho wanted that expression on him everyday. But they still had unfinished business.
"So why did you ghost me?" he asked, trying to sound as sweet as possible.
Jisung's smile instantly faded and Minho felt angry with himself for having let that happen. But... he needed to know.
"I don't know..." Jisung mumbled:
"I felt it was unrealistic that you actually liked me and... I thought I had pushed you too far, forced you..."He was looking at his feet and Minho felt a pang of regret.
Regret for everything. For having given him the impression that he wasn't important, for having gone into everything without any explaination... and on top of it all, for having deceived him."I'm still deceiving him" he thought guiltily.
But maybe he didn't have to. Maybe he could just...tell Jisung and things would be fine anyway.
"Jisung" he started:
"You've done nothing wrong. I wanted you as much as you wanted me and things just...happened. We didn't really have the time to clarify, now did we?"Jisung nodded. It was very clear that he was trying to push back tears.
"...but I do like you" Minho admitted:
"And...I want to see how this goes""Now" he thought:
"Now's the time you tell him you had a fiancee but you're going to call off the wedding because you realised you're gay and you didn't like her after all"But then Jisung's adoring eyes met his and he fell silent.
He was so... happy.
He tried forcing the words out but before he could Jisung's lips were on his and there was nothing to be done except kiss back.
