Lee Minho was absolutely terrifying.

Jisung had never met a harder person to read.

He just walked in silence, blank faced, staring at him and Jisung... well Jisung didn't know what to do with that.

He was one of those people who hated moments empty of conversation but, weirdly, he was also extremely socially anxious.

This lead to the uncomfortable result of an endless, awkward rambling that would escape his mouth without his permission and just...not stop.

When they finally got to the classroom Jisung was breathless and had already forgotten half of the things he had said. He had ruined all possibilities of Minho taking him seriously tho, that he was sure about.

"Thanks for the tour, Jisung" Minho said then.

"Oh! You're welcome"

Mr Lee smiled down at him and Jisung felt his stomach do a little flip. If there was one thing the comments hadn't lied about it was definitely his exceptional looks.

Mr Lee was tall, with sharp, elegant features. If he hadn't known he was a professor, Jisung would've mistaken him for an actor. And the way he dressed... that weird-patterned shirt coupled with a warm beige suit... he even had a cat pin attached to his jacket's pocket.
He looked striking... yet approachable. It pulled Jisung in like a magnet.

It scared him.

They walked togheter to the teacher's desk and Minho instantly gave him some thematic maps to distribute to the class. As he did so, Jisung noticed the looks people were giving Mr Lee, the hushed conversations surrounding him.

"Is that the new professor? Shit, he's hot..." a girl whispered.

"He dresses like a poof... I bet he has a fling with that chemistry professor, what's his name?" some boy sneered.

"Mr Kim?" his mate answered:
"No way..."

"Ugh how am I gonna pay attention to class now..." whined the girl from before.

"Haven't you guys read the group chat??" said another girl, annoyed:
"He's not a good professor. Stop swooning, Julia."

Jisung digested it all, rolling his eyes at the "poof" comment. He kept hoping for the new batches of students to drop the slurs but they never did. So disappointing.

He walked back to the professor's side slightly irritated. Noone in the class seemed to take Mr Lee seriously...it pissed him off.

But then Minho started teaching.

And as Jisung sat on the sidelines, mouth hanging open from time to time, he understood all about the contrasting opinions about this professor.

He was so good. He talked about his subject with genuine passion, interchanging observation, pure explaination to small jokes to keep the class' attention high. He encouraged them to look at the map and come to their own conclusions before he confirmed or denied and when he corrected someone he was always precise yet understandable. It was evidently clear that teaching was his call and he was answering it in a full voice.

He was also...however... quite... how to put it...

"Now, people will tell you that there are no dumb questions" he said at a point:
"That is a false notion. There are dumb questions and I will point them out when they come up. Because they will. But always remember, students. Ask them anyway. Better to be embarassed in front of the whole class than to butcher a whole exam, am I right?"
he concluded, an evil grin decorating his face.

Jisung gulped along with the rest of the class.

This was going to be a long year.

"...and that concludes our introduction to the subject" Minho said in the end, after a few hours that had seemed much, much shorter:
"I'll post the presentation online this evening, remember to study week per week students and if you want to embarass yourselves further with even dumber questions my email is always open. Now shoo, go home"

He smiled his evil grin and the students seemed to snap out of some weird trance, starting to get up and gather their things to leave.

Jisung shook his head and realised that he was supposed to do his job.

"Do...ehm do you need help with anything, Mr Lee?" he asked as the professor gathered his things from the teacher's desk.

"Ah, yes Jisung could you post the presentation please? I have to go to a meeting with the other teachers this evening and I'm afraid I won't have time. I'll also send over the program by email... look at the laboratories, I'll need your help heavily in those..."

Jisung nodded, overwhelmed.

"You did well today" he said then and Jisung felt the tip of his ears burn red.

"But I didn't do anything...!?"
