"...since Christmas is nearing in I should totally start buying presents"
was saying Jisung that morning in front of an earl grey tea.

They were having breakfast in the university bar, sat near the window overlooking the white sky. It was supposed to snow soon.

Minho's eyes were however unfocused. He didn't look like he was listening at all.

Jisung's eyebrows knit togheter: something was definitely wrong.

"Minho? Are you worried about exam season nearing in too?" he asked with a hint of cheer, not wanting to put the professor on the spot.

Mr Lee seemed to jolt awake. He was wearing a soft dress-shirt in a cream color, slightly unbuttoned to reveal his collarbones. Jisung was trying not to stare at them too much.

"A bit" Minho admitted with a guilty smile:
"It's the final challenge after all. To see if anything I taught actually stuck with them, you know?"

It felt a bit like a lie but Jisung decided to go with it. He was too tired to insist anyway.

"I'm sure they'll do well. Besides, if someone writes something horribly wrong we can laugh about it togheter" he winked as a response.

Minho let out a small laugh, his features relaxing. Jisung felt proud of himself for that.

"By the way, I'll probably need some help with correcting all the papers. Would you be ok with coming to my flat once or twice during the holidays? I know I'm asking you to take time off your-"

"I'll be there" Jisung interrupted him eagerly.

They exchanged a smile, Minho's full of gratitude, Jisung's full of admiration.

"Let's go to class, come on"

As Minho taught the final lecture before the holidays, Jisung couldn't tear his eyes off Minho for a second.

"From today on we won't see eachother everyday anymore for a while.."

he thought and his heart ached.
Minho was glowing even when he looked tired and it almost infuriated Jisung. His worn out elegance was a pull he couldn't ignore. He let his eyes caress his jawline and follow the curve of his adam's apple to the spot of skin exposed by the shirt.
How he wished he could place kisses all over it...

Jisung unvolountarily licked his lips as he stared. Also unvolountarily Minho copied him, seeing the movement from the corner of his eyes.

Jisung's heart leapt.

"Calm down."
he ordered his body.

But he was already warm all over.

He fanned his face and tried to think of something scary or disgusting.

Deep sea creatures.

Yeah, that'll do it. He shivered in fear.

"...and that's all for this part of the course. I bet you all are happy to be rid of me, huh?" Minho was saying with that subtle evil grin on his face:

"I'll see you in January for your exams, try not to embarass me too much, please. Now shoo come on, no sentimentalisms"

Despite that, Julia and her click came to the teacher's desk anyway.

"Mr Leeee" she cried:
"Do you really have to go??"

Minho rolled his eyes slightly:
"You'll see me again in two months, Julia. Such drama."

"Really!?" Nagyung gasped.

"Yeah. It hasn't been announced on the website yet but I'll be your teacher next semester as well..."

The kids looked at eachother excitedly. The only one who looked unphased was Matt, always on the verge of falling asleep.

"Think of passing the exam first, thought" reminded them Minho.

"We will make you proud, prof" promised Beomseok.

"Good. Now shoo, go on" said Min, not managing to hide a sweet smile.

As the students left for one last time Jisung walked to his boss' side.

"It'll be weird not being here everyday anymore" he said smoothly.

"Nah... I feel like we both deserve some rest" disagreed Minho.

"But I'll miss you..." Jisung wanted to say.

Then he realised how pathetic that sounded. It was barely even a month, after all.

"What will you do?" he asked instead.

"People from home will come to visit so I guess I'll be busy with that"

Jisung's lips pressed into a line. So he was going to spend the holidays with his wife huh?

"What about you?"

There and then, Jisung realised that he had no plans. Not one.
So he just shrugged.

"What, are you not celebrating?" Mr Lee scoffed.

Jisung shrugged once again.

Minho's eyes widened in surprise:
"Are you serious??"

Jisung's ears got a bit red:
"Well... all my friends will be busy with family dinners and all that... and I-...ehm... I'm not exactly welcome back home so..."

he twisted his hands nervously. This was only the fourth person to know about his family life after all and he disliked provoking pity in people.

Minho shook his head in disbelief:
"We gotta fix that"

"What?"

"You can't just not celebrate Christmas" Minho stated, a hint of irritation in his voice:
"I'm gonna organise something, don't you worry"

"What!?" Jisung blushed:
"No, Minho you don't have to, I'll live I swear, I'm used to it-"

That seemed to only make things worse as Minho's determination to have him live the xmas atmosphere skyrocketed.

"Oh god..." Jisung thought, a mixture of embarassment and delight filling him.

Noone had ever worried about him like that.
