Henry was on the verge of tears. He hadn't experienced this amount of stress since he left and no longer had any clue how to calm himself down. He would've isolated himself until the feelings passed it he could, but he had nowhere else to go.
Liam did his best to calm him down, racking his brain for any calming technique he knew. He tried everything he knew, but nothing worked. Henry seemed to get even more upset the more he tried.
"Henry."
Henry looked at Liam, tears in his eyes.
Liam held his hands out, palms up. Henry shakily held them. He seemed to calm down, at least a little bit. Liam was surprised to have forgotten it, but it had been weeks since he had needed to use it.
Henry's breathing slowed, and he just generally seemed to be calming down.
"Are you alright?"
Henry slightly nodded, squeezing Liam's hands.
Henry hugged him, toppling both of them over.
"H-Henry! I can't fucking breath dumbass!"
Henry let go.
Liam took a breath to reinflate his lungs.
Henry had significantly calmed down, he was still scared but less so. He wasn't hyperventilating at the very least.
"I won't tell anyone about it," Liam said reassuringly. "But you still need help."
Henry nodded.
"Can I see the wound?"
Henry moved further away.
"Alright. I won't force you to do anything, I just want you to stay alive."
