Scott was placing himself on the loveseat as I placed some blankets on the coffee table. I watched him as his arms flexed, he placed the sheets to a more comfortable position.

"I believe you have everything you need." I stated as I hesitantly turned from him and go to walk upstairs.

"Lillith I would like to get to know you." Him causing me to stop in my stance from this statement.

"There's not much to honestly know."

"You're nothing but a mystery to me Lillith."

"How so?"

"I can never tell what's on your mind or what you're thinking. There is nothing that terrifies me more than that."

"Is there anything you'd like to know?" My expression eager and happy. He tapped the arm of the loveseat. I make my way over and sat on the chair across from him.

"I think I have to know."  He began with a shy grin upon his face. "What is the story with Larry?"

I took in a pretty big breath." He dated one of my good friends. And unfortunately, she got bored and moved on though he never did let her go. Larry had tried to hurt her before but, as you know his family is one of those types that karma comes with them end in the end. It is nowhere near the end yet- at least for them anyway."

"What did he do, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Larry had showed up at her house one night and broke into her bedroom. After doing some ... certain things- he then escaped before he severely hurt her. She then called me just after I got my license, and I picked her up. She stayed with me."

"Wow.." He said as he tried to comprehend every inch of the story. "Why would he come after you?"

"He believes that I talked her out of the relationship... I mean I had and that is only because he is abusive and this other guy, she just broken up with treated her like she was a queen."

"Is that you would like one day?"

"what?"

"Someone to treat you like a queen?"

When he asks it takes me a minute to answer such a simple question. I wanted to give a smile and nod, but I feel myself froze as I felt his eyes permanent on mine. He was no longer looking with a smirk, it was now more of a cemented glare as if I somehow offended him or if it were to be too bright in the room.

"No."

"No?"

"Well yes, but I'd also like adventure. Someone unexpected- I could wake up one day, have my head on his chest and the next be surrounded by roses. Though I guess it just depends I guess.."

"On what?"

"Who this guy is."

He rose from his spot and towards the fire. "You don't have anyone?" His tone was more intrigued than friendly.

"No, I guess not."

"Are you not into guys."

Giggling. " It's not that, It's the fact that I'm not supermodel enough for them. All the girls at my school- including friends are in-fact that type, and I am well... Me..."

He turned to me and showed a harsh look. "How come you find yourself unattractive?"

This question was a surprise to me.

"My body. I am frail and my neck looks to small compared to my large head. My eyes..."

"You know what I see Lillith? I see a girl who is perfectly crafted and oblivious to this. She is beautiful inside and out and damaged though. Her heart is hurt- but not by ex-lovers. But from life..."

"I told you there Isn't that much to me."

"I'm just getting started."
