The feeling of guilt was in my stomach the whole drive home. As I took each light, sign or turn and city sign I find my mind back on him. I was aware that he was dangerous but there a part of me that didn't want to believe it. It was like another voice inside my head screaming his innocents. I was about a mile outside of town and I realize how rude I had been. His motives were only for protection. He had never hurt me, not once and only wanted to give me protection.

BAM!

Waking up to the sound of a monitor beeping with my heart rate and blood pressure. A lady nurse had just left as my eyes started to open my eyes. I could feel someone else in the room it was Abby, she was teary eyed and holding her phone so tight that her knuckles were turning white. She noticed me awake and gave me a soft but tight hug.

"How do you feel? Are you okay? Do you need something, anything? How sore are you?"

"Abby I am okay." I give a soft giggle Abby went on to explain to me that a SUV ran a red light and hit me causing me to hit a post. And the doctors said I was tremendously lucky to even be alive at this point.

"Abby how long have I been here in the hospital."

"About a week. They have had you on a few different drugs. They also said you wouldn't exactly remember much if really anything..."

I remembered Scott. I remembered the night I left angry all I wanted was to see his face when I had woken up.

"Be honest I need to know how I look."

"Zombie apocalypse ready, easy."

I sat up and looked at myself, I saw some bruising and I could still feel the sting from being slapped twice by Derik.

"Abby, can I ask something."

"Anything cupcake."

"Do they still believe that Larry was killed by Scott."

"From what I have been told is that Larry was beaten so bad that there was a concession and due to swelling on his brain, he died there where he was left."

I tried picturing who could have done it.

"He was the last one seen."

"Then it is a good thing that he isn't here then." Abby gave me a confused look.

"You think he's innocent."

This question left a pit inside my stomach. It's true, I did believe Scott was innocent but knowing that I did would make them believe to think that I was some sort of accomplice. Would they lock me up too?

"Truly I am unsure."

Abby changed the subject while her phone made a chime. "Looks like Josh is here to pick me up. I will come see you later alright." She left quickly not giving me that simple chance to tell her goodbye. I looked at the door, I saw something a figure. Tall, muddy hair, eyes prominent. Muscles visible though a white T-shirt. Hands deep into jean pockets he was sad, worried even. It was him, the one I have been wanting since I woke up. It was Scott who had come to see me.
