"What is it?"

"Stay away." I yell as I went to the door.

"What did the message say."

"They know who killed Larry.."

He waited for me to answer though I was conflicted if which I would say. One side he could deny and proceed to fight for his innocence or simply just admit and make me another victim along with who I would have been two already. I froze with fear deep. Holding all distance, he asked me on repeat to tell him. He was not stupid.

"You think it was me?"

My hand was tightly as I nodded. I realized the anger that just began to form in Scotts eyes. Walking over to me, placing his hand on the door next to my head our faced inches apart.

"You think it was me, you think I would just kill someone like that?"

"You did with Derik."

"I did that to protect you." He was angry

"With the same motive, you could have easily left him to die."

"And let me guess you're going to say I was the one who killed your mother as well? Might as well add another to the list huh?"

"If you hurt me they'll know"

Scott nodding and punching the wall hard.

"What is it going to take.. I only want to protect you. I killed Derik, yes. If I hadn't, he would have done nothing more than used you for sex. And no, I do not regret killing the bastard. That doesn't make me a serial killer Lillith. Larry was also breathing just fine when I left him."

Scott could tell the since of doubt that cascaded over my hopes but all I could truly do was listen. I couldn't make my mouth create words and I was so desperate to do so. Scott held his knuckles as I saw blood drop.

"I want to protect you

"I want to protect you."

"Let me go."

"You will get hurt."

"I have inheritance to last until I die. Though I cannot stand to be next to you."

Opening the door quickly ran downstairs getting into my car and drove. I knew this wasn't the least bit smart though I wanted nothing more than to go back home."
