Watching Scott, he goes over to my laptop and placed in the USB and pressed play on the file.
There my mother was. Wavy copper hair that always seemed to fall way to perfect. Standing before a camera as if was almost born to do so. How my mother seemed to be looking she placed this behind the bathroom mirror, she informed me the reason it was sealed was because of a mouse infestation, turns out that's a lie.
"Whoever finds this is sneaky. Though in all I will be grateful you've found it, and hopefully before it's too late, where I am now in a body bag, and I am disposed of and placed in the ground some were." Pausing, I could tell she was holding back tears. "Anyhow, there are things that have gotten worse. I have been getting these pieces of mail that won't stop being sent. It's gotten to the point my own daughter has been targeted. My sweet girl, I only wish I had given her a better mother, and a father who is alive." Giving Scott a sharp look. "I pray my, daughter has a protected life and finds someone who will admire her, protecting her heart over their own."
I took a minute to pause the video and looked over at Scott.
"Wait is Derik isn't actually my father?"
"Lillith, please just keep watching."
Scott proceeded to press play once more, and the video continued. "I am more than sure whom ever found this and is watching it, has a bunch of questions. I have another diary... This one is altered. If anything, where to happen, all I ask that this is took to the police station. Its location is behind a baby picture of Lilith in the living room that is above the love seat. I am more than sure they will learn who it was that decided that my life was theirs to take. If my sweet girl is worried, please let her know that I am with the angels. Tell her that I love her, and I am nothing more than proud of her." Tears began to stream down my cheeks.
"Last I am aware my death is imminent. One day, and I feel it crawling closer. This tape that I spoke about will be the key you need to my mystery. Someone has been harassing Lilith and I. I need us to be free, to be content in this house." She paused again, focused on the camera with no tears. "I am no longer an angel for I have sinned.." The tape came to an end.
"We have to find that tape." Looking at Scott with nothing more than agony wiping away tears.
"I tried.. It's gone."
