Eyes locking in a moment before he even entered the hospital room shutting the door sliding the ugly hospital curtain over in front of the window. With the way he stayed from me, I think he thought I was going to yell at him or hit him, not knowing I was extremely happy he was here.
"I am socked you wanted to see me, Lillith." He avoided any eye contact leaning up against the wall instead of sitting in the hospital chair.
"Why?"
"With everything that's happening. The stuff I have been accused of the way you left. I began to believe you hated me that is why I haven't been here."
In the bit of time I had known Scott, I have seen him show several different emotions. But sad, was new. I've seen him upset, but never sad.
"I'll admit I am in the wrong."
"How did you know It wasn't me?"
"Scott, I know you, and yes I'm aware not long but I do. I personally was scared, and I am sorry I acted that way." I look around the room at everything. "This is just my karma."
"I shouldn't have let you drive away that night. I should have taken your keys again."
I could hear him pause if he wanted to say something that would have been nothing but poison to my ears. "I- I think I have to go.. I can't stay."
"What? Scott no!"
"Lillith-"
"We are in this together and have been since day one you cant leave you.. You cannot brake my heart."
"I am a wanted man. It's nothing more than there words against mine."
"And mine as well."
Scott gave a look of confusion. "You saved me that night. He was trying to rape me and he also beat me to a pulp."
Scott kept his mouth shut.
"I will talk to then, show them that side of you. The side they don't know, that way I can keep you safe."
"I want you safe Lillith. I believe it is best if I just go turn myself in."
I close my eyes tightly grabbing his hand.
"Don't leave me.. Please.." I said as he placed hand on my cheek.
"Never.."
