The evenings were Rapsody's favorite time of day. The TV was playing Bluey, just hearing the voices and seeing all the funny games being played was a picture-perfect evening. Rapsody was sitting on the couch, fully attentive to the Australian dogs on the screen in front of her. The smell of dinner made everything that much more comforting. There was something about a home-cooked meal by someone who loved you to wrap up your entire day. So when Rapsody heard Eda call out. "Rapsody! Dinner is ready sweetheart" Rapsody climbed off the couch, and ran to the table, using a toy block to boot herself up onto the chair.
After sitting up on her knees a plate was placed in front of her, and a kiss on her head by her mother. "Make sure to eat your vegetables baby," Eda said, leaving the dining room to clean her mess in the kitchen. It was the love and care put into meals by Eda that always made Rapsody say that Eda was the best cook in the world.
Says every child ever...
It seemed that most people lived this way, love filled meals, and loving family. Such as children neither parents, or people who are married. Sadly this isn't always the case, even when you think your life is perfect, happiness never seems to last.
The cold reality of Raine whispers
It was only 6 pm in the evening, and yet they were bone tired after coming home from work. It wasn't to much the work as it was the interviews, photography, and constant strangers running up to them and snapping pictures of them and posting them on social media. Such acts violating their privacy, and personal space had them constantly on edge and sick of the paparazzi. Upon entering their home, the Bard was disheartened to see their wife sitting on the counter snapping selfies of herself with new jewelry on. This usually wouldn't be a problem except for the fact she begged them to buy her a new ring just yesterday. Of course they got it for her in order to be a good spouse, but they didn't think she'd be back to buying things so soon. "Steph? Are those new?" They asked, while closing and locking the front door of the house. "Yeah!! Isnt this necklace gorgeous?" Stephanie asked, running her hand through her whisky colored hair mixed with small blonde highlights.
Raine chuckled, shaking their head at her. "Well yes, it is very pretty" Raine replied, taking their bag from around their body, setting it on the couch. "Anyways, I'm going to my friends birthday party this weekend" Stephenie explained, putting her phone in her purse, then hopping off the counter. The bards face seemed to light up. "Oh that sounds fun" they replied, taking the band of their wife. "Do you want me to go with you?" They asked, as a kind gesture. Stephenie scrunched up her nose with a annoyed.
Or even disgusted expression
It caught Raine off guard, seeing as their smile dropped. Stephenie cleared her throat. "Look, hes my best friend, and it's only a small get together, nobody's partners are going" the woman explained to them, putting her hand on their shoulder. Raine nodded, understanding what they were told, replying. "It's alright, you have fun, sweetheart" Stephenie nodded, then held her hand out to them. Raine chuckled, understanding what she wanted, going into their wallet and pulling out a credit card to hand to her. "Here, buy your friend something nice" raine insisted, watching their wife leave the house, disregarding the time.
Or a simple thank you, I love you.
The Bard sighed, deciding not to let this bother them. After all they owned 7 very prestigious music universities and a store. So many wasn't an issue, however it would of been nice to share a meal with her in their opinion. Regardless, they went on with their evening and decided to make themselves dinner. While getting the ingredients they wanted to use out on the kitchen counter, their phone started ringing. Raine picked up their phone, and checked the caller ID, before picking up.
Mother dear❤
The Bard smiled when seeing who it was then presses the accept button.
"Hey mom! How are you?"
