The rain was pouring, drenching all that was below. Including a lonely single mother bringing home a few things from the grocery store. Her only protection from the heavy Raine a red article of clothing shes had to replace the zipper for multiple times.
However when pulling in her neighbor hood she saw a familiar man running, as if she were a steady cat miserably trying to keep from getting wet. She stopped her car immediately, staring at him as if he were crazy.
She was crazy once.. They almost put her in a room
She recognized that same dreadful black hair, blue eyes combo that had her in a choke hold in her early twenties. Eda rolled her eyes, then took off her seatbelt, and leaned over to open the passenger door. "Hey!" She yelled, grabbing his attention. "You should get in, you'll get sick if you stay out here" she insisted, seeing the expression of shock in his eyes.
Yet reluctantly he got in, his hair dripping a little onto his already drenched black T-shirt. Once the door was closed, eda again finished the drive to her house, then gave him a look to get out. Be got the message and got out the car, standing in the Raine, watching her grab the few grocery bags she had. He tried to read her face, but it was as dull as a kid looking up at the wall. She then grabbed him by the ear. "Well don't just stand in the rain, you moron" she barked, and took him inside her house.
Against her better judgement.
Once inside eda set the bags down, then took the jacket off and tied it around her waist. Revealing the grey tank top she was wearing. The man stool there shocked, wondering how she still had a model like figure. "Il be right back.." She announced quietly, leaving into another room. Leaving him there alone as he took in the environment. Her house wasn't fancy or extravagant by any means, but it was cozy, and sort of homey.
The fire pit was empty, but the tv was still playing some kids show. There where a few toys around the floor on the living room, you trucks, ponys, and even a few bird plushies. The floor was hard wood, with a red, and orange oval carpet under a small coffee table in front of the black couch.
Practical for someone with children.
Eda came back, tossing a white towel to him, then using one herself to dry her hair. "Use that" she said Veugly. She seems caught of guard by her non chalant tone, and somewhat familiar commanding nature. "Thank you" she finally said looking at her like some confused child. She looked at him for a second, then back down a throw bags she had gotten.
She started to put things away, her attention to him painfully non existent.
However for a good reason.
"Uhm..you still look great" she muttered, unsure of what else to say to her, however Vaguely remembering her weak spot for compliments. However the odds weren't in his favor as she just started him, looking disturbed and uncomfortable. Her response a sort of cruel. "Shut up, Ryan" the reply wasn't what he expected. He didn't expect her to be nice to him, but he at least expected a half ass thank you.
"You could just say thank you" Ryan said back, holding the towel around his neck. "Didn't I just say to shut up?" She asked, looking at him as if she were going to lecture him. "Go stand in a corner or something" she said, shaking her head at him. He smacked his lips, and went to stand in a corner.
Eda rolled her eyes, then her the little pitter patter of bare feet. She looked up, and saw her daughter coming out her room and towards her. "Mommy? Can I have lunch" she asked, awakening from her non comsentual nap.
Meaning her juice was drugged and she was knocked out for 2 hours.
"Of course honey, I got you some more crustables, do you want the ones with hazelnut spread or strawberry jelly?" Eda asked, kneeling down to her toddler with a sweet smile. Rapsody looked at both, then grabbed the one with hazelnut spread. "I want this one" she beamed with a wide smile. "Alright then, let me thaw it out" eda said, then watched her toddler look at the strange man. "Mommy, whos that?" She asked, pointing. "Oh he's nobody, go play" eda replied, then stood up and went on about her business. Ignoring Ryan's glaring. "Nobody? Seriously" he asked, looking back at her. "Yes. Nobody. Face the corner" eda demanded.
