Weyheyyy. This one's pretty short but i hope you guys like it! Partly inspired by "too many faces" by Cherri Bomb! I had the idea playing around in my head for a while now though. Enjoy!

It was 3am and Kensi and Deeks were on another stakeout. Again. If they were to be honest, the late night stakeouts were taking its toll on them. It went up to the point where the stakeouts were a lot quieter than usual as they were either too tired or too deep in their thoughts to even realise the other was slowly breaking down. Finally turning towards him, Kensi realised that her partner's eyes seemed empty as he chewed on his nails.

"Deeks? Deeks." Kensi snapped her fingers in front of him. "Are you okay?"

Deeks shook his head lightly, "I um...nevermind. I'm good."

"You wouldn't let me off that easily." She scoffed, furrowing her brows as she tried her best to read her partner's expression.

"We're highly trained operatives right? Cops, feds. We're supposed to help people and save them. Yet, we've hurt so many. I've had my heart in so many places. I've tricked so many women into falling in love with me and they don't-they don't deserve it. None of them. I was just thinking about how they're all doing. If they still think about it like i do. I mean i don't love them but...i've hurt them, Kens." He finally exhaled, not even aware of the breath he was holding.

Kensi rested her palm against his thigh, rubbing it gently with the pad of her thumb. "You're right. We've hurt a lot of people but we've saved a lot more. You did all of it so these criminals would get off the street, Deeks. It might not be the way we want it to be, but it had to be done. You're a good person...you have to stop thinking otherwise."

"But you know that i really love you, right?"

"Of course i do. No one wants to be alone, Deeks. Not you, not me and not all those people we've had to lie to to get the job done. They'll move on...just like we did. And i'd say we did pretty well." Kensi said softly as she slid her hand into his. Deeks turned and looked out the window, smiling rather weakly.

"Oh and Deeks?"

"Mmhm?" He continued to look out the window, watching the dark and abandoned warehouse across the street.

"I love you too." She said before turning to watch the warehouse as well. Yet, she could still see his shy smile grow into a genuine smile, the smile that she longed for.
