In the evening time of Kanpur, among the hustling and bustling of the railway station, there was a family who seemed to cry but not in sadness but happiness. A girl in a red coloured baggy top and sky blue cargo pants, seemed to comfort her mother who was continuously crying while caressing her daughter's face and was not tired to tell her to be safe to wherever she is going. The father seemed like to do something too but he didn't get the chance because of his wife. The little boy also huged his only sister who was probably very precious to him and the girl was caressing his hair.
Just between their conversation, the train made a loud and long whistle which indicated that the girl have to leave now which was definitely not liked by any of them but she had to, for her dreamful adventures ahead.
So she went in the train as her bag was already settled in her compartment. She tearfully, waved her parents and brother goodbye and the train started moving.
🌼🌼🌼🌼
After waving my family goodbyes, I sat in my compartment. My parents, being protective, booked one compartment of AC1 in this train which will take me to Raigarh.
As I sat in my chair, breakfast came in a trolly. I ate enough in my home but with this much of a crying, I was hungry again so I took the breakfast which was bread with peanut butter, one bowl of cereals with milk and one banana with a bottled water.
I ate the breakfast and then pluged in my headphones with my favourite Bollywood soothing songs playlist. I don't know when I started feeling sleepy so I took off my headphones, switched off the song and went into a deep sleep.
After 5 hours
"Ouch"
Wow, Isha. You bumped your head on the divider! You should be given an Oscar for being clumsy.
I rubbed my head with my hand and looked outside the window. It's so beautiful, the fields, the beautiful crops and those small ponds. It all looks so peaceful and relaxing. I wonder how it would be like to live like them.
After 5 more hours
Ah, finally! I reached my destination. I stood up, took my luggages and stepped out of the train, feeling the fresh air of the earth after being for straight 11 hours in the AC.
Just then someone tapped onto my shoulder and I looked back, seeing a whole 12 members family waiting for me to move further. Oh what a start!
I tilted my luggages and started moving further with a whole new level of excitement in me. Raigad is so different from Kanpur. The more noisy Kanpur is, the more peaceful Raigad is.
It's not like there is no noise at all. As I am walking, many auto drivers are shouting to go several places. One even shouted to show around the whole Raigad in one day. Don't they have anything called logic in them?
Yet it's quiter than that place. It's almost like a rural area but with a sprinkle of technology. But it's still lively which I loved the most.
As I reached the taxi stand, I booked a taxi and gave him the address of the hotel I was staying in. My father, just like a typical Indian father, booked the hotel for me online and by himself. I told that I am 18 already and I am legally an adult, I should be given at least some freedom but the next second, the look I received was more deadly than that of a ghost, so I stopped talking and let him do whatever he was doing.
I looked outside the window and was admiring the view when within 15 minutes, I reached my destination. I paid the driver and after taking my luggages out, I looked at the hotel I was staying in.
It was so big and beautiful and full on ancient vibe which was exactly what I love. I walked towards the entrance while admiring the hotel and as I reached the lobby of the guest house, I went to receptionist and told her my name and she looked up my name and gave me the keys of room 204.
I took the keys and left for my room to relax for sometime after such a long journey. As I reached my room, I went to take a bath in the evening time but not before calling up my family and telling them that I have reached safely.
After 3 hours
"Oh...so hot!"
That is why mom tells me not to eat the samosa like a hungry lion. It turned my tongue in the fire ring. But it's still so good and so different from Kanpur. It's my third samosa already.
Just then I heard the malai wala and taking my plate, I went towards the vendor and bought some for my midnight cravings. It was in a small pot, fully covered with the aluminium foil.
I kept it in my purse and hurriedly finished my samosa. After finishing it, I paid the vendor and took an auto towards my hotel.
As I reached the hotel, I paid the driver and got off and went straight to my room in order to sleep.
After I returned to my room, I firstly, freshened myself up and then literally jumped on the soft bed and hugging the pillow, I was laying on the bed thinking about what I will do tomorrow.
I didn't come here for fun or to study or anything like that. I know my purpose of coming here and I must never forget about that.
The reason I came is to explore that museum which consists of the ancient items and I learnt it even had Britishers items. It would be great if I could with my own eyes and then, maybe, someday, even I will fight like the queen of Jhansi. Of course not in literal meaning but in the cases after I become a lawyer, that is.
The first thing I will do tomorrow is to visit the museum and then the left streets of Raigad and then-yawn-maybe buy something for my family as a sovereign and then-yawn-maybe I should sleep now or else my eyes will pain again.
And without realising, I went into a deep sleep.
