"What is she doing here?"

"Do you know her?" Vishal asked me when I curiously asked myself the question. I nodded my head and said that it's my mother but she was supposed to be in England. I blinked my eyes twice to confirm whether she was really here but no matter how many I noticed it, it was her, mother.

Just then she ordered everyone to come out of the cottage and and that the cottage is currently surrounded by the officers. Does she suspect that I am here? How did she know? When father wasn't able to notice it while he was here then how did mother?

I don't have time to think about anything like that, I just have focus on keeping the innocent, safe like, Vishal and Gauri. I saw Kamini aunty, still sitting on the ground but now, more pale and looking at mother.

Just then every villager turned and looked at Kamini aunty again and loudly said,"waah Kamini, Maan Gaye tumko! Tumne inhe apne saath mana bhi liya. Tujhe tanik bhi sharm nhi aayi, Deshdrohi! Tumhe to hum baad me dekhte h. Pehle inse nipatte hai."(Great Kamini, truly appreciatable, you took them in your side too. You didn't feel any ounce of shame while even thinking about it, Traitor! We'll see you after we handle these petty beings.)

And they went outside the cottage and suddenly we heard the fighting sounds and screams of attacking or similar. And just after few minutes, a strong metallic smell struck my nose. Blood!

And amongst the chaos outside the cottage, Kamini aunty came towards us and I thought she would hand me over to my mother but instead, she took us further in the cottage and hid us somewhere in dark and she herself stay hidden with us.

And just then, we heard gunshots. It was mother. I knew that mother has exceptional skills in guns but to think she will use it like this. I truly despise it. It was matter of time until everyone would be a victim of her bloodthirsty soul and gun and she reaches and finds us.

But before she does that, I have to do something and fast. After some minutes, there was complete silence. No screaming, no whipping sounds, no gunshots, but the only thing echoed was heels on the ground and breaking of some doors.

I have to stop mother before she hurts them. Just as I was about to move from my place, I noticed the small hand covering mine and then Gauri, who was heavily crying but even so, was trying her best to muffle down her sound. I won't forgive mother, ever for doing something like this.

I don't want to hurt them more than they already are so I assured them that I will be fine and then moved out of the spot and went out of the room and stood at the main place where mother was standing, holding her gun in her hand.

"Trying to kill your own son, mother?"

She lowered down her gun when she saw me emerging from the darkness and came towards me and asked me where the left people.

"What people, mother?"

"The ones who were with you."

"They are innocent!!" I said loudly.

"No, none of the Indians are innocent. You don't them, Cedric."

"But they are. Mother, you have to stop. I am here, let's just go."

"Not before I teach them a lesson for kidnapping my son."

"But mother-(her slapping him, tilting his face to sideways)

"When you don't know Cedric, don't speak."

I shouldn't be thinking about the slap because it's nothing unusual. I am more concerned about them. No, I have to stop her, anyhow.
