Hi! I am super sorry for such a long break in this story. It's been kind of a rough year and yes I have been working on this story all year, but I got to a point where I wasn't sure what to do next and before I realized it I wrote a bunch of chapters for this book and then just took a break. Which I think was for the best mentally I am working on this story actively again and plan on trying to update more often. Happy reading!

Kaori

It had been three months since Inu and I officially started dating. We were taking our relationship slow because I wanted to and we were really happy. Inu and I were currently snuggling, he was asleep and I was holding him. I looked out the window. Things were good right now, but I had a terrible feeling in my gut. Like a rock settling at the bottom of a lake and I feared what it could mean. I would like to just ignore it, but seeing as how I came to this world the way I did and fixing Artemis's mistakes had altered the future to a degree means that something could be happening. I needed to be on guard because that was most likely the case and I promised myself I would never ignore my instincts again. Not after what happened in my past life.

"Baby," I looked up to see Inu awake, "what's wrong?"

I smiled at him and kissed him. He kissed me back and then scooted up on the bed. He pulled me into his arms.

"Nothing, I just woke up and couldn't fall back asleep." I kissed his cheek.

Inu's green eyes met mine. His brow furrowed.
"Promise?" I smiled up at him.

Ever since I almost died due to not feeding he's been stern about secrets. I understand and there aren't many times where I lie, in fact I never lie to him. Tonight was different. I wasn't sure we had anything to worry about, so I decided to lie. I didn't want him to worry about it, just in case he couldn't be involved.

"I promise, Inu." I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

I felt bad for lying. Three months and we had been completely honest with each other, but I didn't know what was coming or if anything actually was. I would put it off until tomorrow, tonight was a night for just us. He nodded and smiled down at me. I rolled us so that he was underneath me. He looked surprised and then smiled again.

"Are you sure, Kaori?" I smiled and nodded.

I bit my lip a bit nervous. I could feel him beneath me. had been thinking about going further with him, but I was still so new to this. I slid my hands down my body and started bunching up my nightgown around my waist. Inu's eyes met mine and I was immediately caught off guard by the amount of desire in his eyes. I could feel him grow harder beneath me. I gasped as his hands gripped my hips under my nightgown. I pulled my nightgown up and pulled it off completely. I threw it to the side. Inu's eyes drifted over my body and I blushed. I looked down at his shirt embarrassed and he surprised me by thrusting his hips upwards. I fell forward, pressing my hands on his chest to catch myself. I was surprised and when our eyes met I could see the amused look in his eyes.

"You don't have to be embarrassed, sweetheart. Are you sure you're ready?" I nodded.

"I can't imagine being with anyone else, Inu." I kissed him.

Inu

She was on top of me exhausted and out of breath. We had finally been intimate and it was amazing. She was amazing. It was the morning after and she looked beautiful laying on top of me. Her red hair is everywhere. Her skin marked with bruises and bite marks I left behind. She looks so beautiful. I tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. She sighs and snuggles closer to me. I smile and kiss the top of her head. She moans and shifts.

"Morning." She doesn't open her eyes.

"Good morning to you too, baby. Are you okay?" She looked up and smiled at me.

"I'm great, Inu. I feel really happy." Her green eyes flashed blue for a moment.

They have been doing that a lot recently and I didn't know why. I wasn't sure why they were changing color, but it worried me. I was hesitant to tell her because I was still afraid that Kaori would vanish again and try to solve the problem all by herself. Kaori leaned up and kissed me. I kissed her back. She pulled away and smiled.

"I have to get up. I've got work and I'm meeting Ash for lunch today." She got up and went into the bathroom.

I laid in bed listening to the shower turn on. I needed to speak with Apollymi. I was worried for her safety.
