A/N: The picture above will be kind of what I pictured for Inu, but I plan on drawing what I picture him to be like when I have time. I just wanted to find a picture to show the direction I'm going with Inu's demon form. The picture isn't mine, another Google find. Happy reading!

Kaori(Artemis)

I had crashed into my tub. Everything hurt so bad and I teleported to the wrong place in my temple. I could feel the hunger building up in my throat. I needed to feed. I knew I wouldn't be able to heal all these injuries on my own. I just, I was so scared to feeding on anyone. The door to the bathing area was pushed open interrupting my thoughts. I saw Inu. His green eyes grew concerned.

Who did this?

He growled. I shook my head.

"It doesn't matter." I began trying to heal the stab wounds.

I was only able to heal the smaller ones. I knew I would need to feed. It was inevitable.

Where? Who? I will rip them to shreds.

I smiled at Inu.

"You cannot," I bit my cheek from the pain, "the world needs them to defend humans from Daimons."

I willed my dress away. Inu growled again. Suddenly a set of arms picked me up. I glanced up to see a man with black hair, horns, wings and green eyes. I closed my eyes and shoved my face into his chest. I felt safe. I heard a vibration from his chest. I knew this was Inu. I wish I knew his real name, but I knew it would never happen. He wasn't here to be my friend. I still cared and was great full though. I was placed on the bed and the covers were pulled up over my body.

"Inu?" I looked up into the man's eyes.

He looked angry. I flinched away from him. I hissed as I put pressure on my broken arm. I bit my tongue. I knew he wouldn't hurt me. It was just a conditioned response. I had been through a lot. I didn't like it when people got angry.

"I won't hurt you. However, feeding would help you heal." I shook my head.

"No. I won't feed on you. I don't know how and I don't want to cause unnecessary pain." I didn't look up at him.

"Artemis. You will not hurt me. Feed, please." I looked up at Inu.

I had never told Inu my name. I wish I could, but I didn't because I didn't want to get close and then end up gone. Especially with what I planned to do next. I leaned forward and summoned a dagger. Inu gripped my hand with the dagger.

"No Artemis. Feed with your mouth." I leaned forward.

I opened my mouth. I glanced up at him and then pulled away. I couldn't do it. Not if I would end up hurting him.

"I can't. I can't. I'm sorry." I kept my eyes down away from him.

Inu

I frowned down at her. I sat down next to her. I pulled her closer to me. She looked at me. I met her green gaze.

"Artemis, you must feed. I promise I will be okay." She glanced down at my wrist.

She leaned forward and bit down on my wrist as gently as she could. Her eyes changed color. She began to feed. She gripped my wrist. The color came back into her face. She retracted her teeth and pulled away from me. She licked my wrist and healed the wound. She scooted away and was dressed. She got off the bed and came and stood in front of me. She looked concerned. She looked like she was planning something. She gripped my face in her hands. She smiled at me and kissed me.

Sleep.

I felt lightheaded and my gaze grew blurry.

"No, how could you?" I mumbled as she laid me back.

She smiled at me.

"I'm sorry Inu. I had to do this. You would've never let me go if I hadn't. Thank you for being my friend," I could see the tears in her eyes, "by the time you wake, I will be stone. I will have fixed Artemis's last mistake. Farewell Inu. I'm glad I got to know you while I could." My eyes couldn't stay open.

Please.........no.

"Goodbye my friend." Darkness swallowed me whole.
