A/N: Alright, None of these pictures are mine that I am going to post. The are pictures I found online of what parts of the temple look like after my OC has changed it.

Few Days Later ~ Kaori

I spent the last few days getting things changed around in her temple. The bed was the only thing I left alone except for the color. The hounds I had summoned had returned to where they came from except for the green-eyed hound. It stayed with me. I was grateful to have at least something I could lean on when things got hard. I turned the walls green and the bedspread was black. I despised the white that covered the temple walls. I was laying on the bed. The black hound next to me.

"What should I name you?" I smiled at the hound and scratched it behind its ear.

It licked my face. I smiled. I thought about a favorite show I used to watch.

"What about Inu?" The hound cocked its head at me.

It barked at me.

"I think I'll stick with Inu. It's a strong name. It suits you." I climbed under the covers and snuggled up to Inu.

At least I have someone.

I was asleep in moments.

Inu

After Artemis fell asleep, I transformed into my demon form. The goddess had named me Inu. I didn't mind it, however it wasn't my actual name. I stared down at the goddess. My akri told me to watch the goddess Artemis. I got close to her face. I raised my hand up to attack her. She flinched and curled up into a ball. I pulled away. She flinched away from me. I didn't understand why this goddess didn't wake up and kill me if she sensed the danger. Any other god or goddess would've.

Akri?

It took a moment, but my Mistress appeared.

Yes Chatos?

Why does this goddess not smite me for threatening her in her sleep? She simply shied away.

My mistress turned to the goddess and then looked upon the temple.

She is not the goddess we once thought. Look at her temple. It has changed drastically has it not?

I looked around and thought about what my Mistress had pointed out.

You're right. She began to change it after your son departed her temple. She also had no idea I was a demon. Shouldn't she have realized sooner?

My Mistress smiled at me.

She should've, yes. However she is from a place where I don't think gods and goddesses were active. She knows who I am and my son is. She also knows who Artemis is. However, that woman isn't Artemis. Artemis never would've used my son's symbol as part of her oath not to hurt him. The body may be Artemis's, but the soul that resides isn't. So while she may look like Artemis, the woman that resides in that body is human.

I looked down at the woman on the bed. She began to whimper in her sleep. I watched as tears began to stream down her face.

"Please.....stop........don't hurt me anymore....... please stop........no daddy.........stop......" she gripped the blanket until her knuckles were white.

I looked at Apollymi.

Is this why you had me come in the shape I did?

She smiled at me.

Yes Chatos it was the reason. She has no one in this world. She has basic knowledge of her abilities as a goddess, but not much more than that.

I moved closer to her and placed a hand on her face. Her whole body tensed for a moment, but then she relaxed and snuggled into my touch.

Akri, she seems to be very good at sensing danger, could she know I pose no threat?

My Mistress smiled at me.

Chatos, she is a human who spent 12 years of her life being used in a way my son was. So you could say her instincts are on par with that of Apostoles. They are survivors. She had siblings to protect, that's why the situation she was in ended. She didn't have to tell me that. I figured that out.

I looked down at her. I had noticed the changes in her were so different then what I had ever imagined. Her looks didn't change, but her mannerisms had.

How long shall I stay with her, Akri?

She smiled at me.

As long as you wish for Chatos.

I was confused.

Has she mistreated you?

I shook my head.

Has she fed you anything poisonous?

I thought back on the short amount of time I had stayed with her. She had seemingly known what I wanted, and it was never dog food.

No.

I sat on the bed next to her. She wasn't a bad person. Just in a bad situation. She turned over and gripped my hand under hers. She sighed in relief.

Chatos?

I looked up and Akri was right next to me.

I don't know how to feel, Akri. She isn't what I thought. You've always sworn that she was some monster. You've always cursed her. To find she is a different woman altogether? I am unsure of how to feel about her even knowing her soul is not that of Artemis. Her looks are the same, but keeping in mind the soul in the body is different will be difficult. What do you think, Akri?
