Chapter 27

Y/n PoV

We went straight to the gym and laid out the pool. I helped Dustin and Lucas grab the kiddie pool.

"This thing is damn heavy" Dustin grunts as he kicked the pool. I rolled my eyes at him.

We argued about which way it should be and then when we got the correct way he pulled it out. I saw Mike go back with Nancy and I followed them.

I saw her try to open the shed but fail and I stood right next to Mike. I saw him try to open the door but failed.

"Stand back" She said as she grabbed a rock and slammed it on the lock. I looked at her in shock. The Nancy I knew would never I mean never break something off school property.

She took the lock off the door and went inside. "Whoa" She said as she looked around. I looked at Mike and then nodded as we followed her in.

She went straight to the hoses in the back and grabbed a big one. She did the same with another one and placed them in a wheelbarrow.

We shut the door and turned off the light. She pushed the wheelbarrow out of the shed and we walked back. It was completely dark outside with a nice cool breeze.

"What did she even eat?" Nancy broke the silence. She was talking about Eleven and how we fed her.

"What?" Mike asked her.

"Eleven" Nancy clarified.

"Oh, Candy, leftovers, Eggos..." Mike listed off as thought about what we did feed her over the time she was with us.

"She really likes Eggos" I said with a smile as I thought about it.

"I knew you guys were acting weird. I just...I thought it was because of Will." Nancy said with a small sigh.

"We knew you were acting weird. We thought it was because of Steve" I aired our quietly.

"Hey..." Nancy said as she set the wheelbarrow down and looked at us. "No more secrets, okay? From now on we tell eachother everything." Nancy said with a smile.

"Okay. Do you like Johnathan?" Mike asked her. I smiled at her in response. I did like Johnathan way better than Steve. And if they got married we had an excuse to be around Will all the time.

"What? No. No, it's...it's not...it's not like that." Nancy said as she looked at the ground. "Do you like Eleven?" She asked as she looked at Mike. "And do you like Dustin?" She asked as she looked at me. Both Mike and I cheeks got very red.

"What? No. Ew. Gross" Mike and I said at the same time.

"What? You definitely like her" I said as I looked at Mike.

"And you definitely like Dustin" Mike called me out.

She looked at us and smiled and continued to pick up the wheelbarrow. I rolled my eyes at her as we continued to go to walk to the school.

Mike and I were helping the others fill up the pool. I stayed by the pool with Mike as we poured water into the pool. Lucas held a temperature on the pool to make sure it was good enough.
