Girl Afraid (Dustin Henderson x reader)

Chapter 8

Y/n POV

"Hey, is that Robin?" I asked when we were walking back to Scoops Ahoy. We were on our way back and when we saw someone wearing a Scoops Ahoy outfit standing on top of a seating area.

"Robin?" Steve asked as we walked closer. She looked stressed and almost freaked out. "What are you doing?" He asked her.

"I cracked it" Robin said, what? It was weird and it looked like she was crazy.

"Cracked what?" Steve asked her wanting her to explain more. She jumped down and looked at us.

"I cracked the code" Robin said with a big smile. She ran back into Scoops Ahoy and she chased after her. We wanted her to tell us how or why?

...

We were outside on the roof next door. We were watching people outside I didn't know exactly why. But all I know it was pouring down rain and I was freezing cold.

"Look for Imperial Panda and Kaufman shoes" Robin told Dustin, rather loudly to mask the noise of the rain. Dustin was the only one with binoculars.

"They're with that whistling guy, ten o'clock" Dustin said. I looked down and I saw a man in yellow carrying boxes.

"What do you thinks in there?" Steve asked as he watched closely.

"Guns, bombs?" Dustin asked.

"Chemical weapons?" Robin offered.

"Whatever it is, they're armed to the teeth." I said as I looked at one bald big guy holding a gun.

"Great" Steve said sarcastically. "That's great." We watched as the one guy used a keycard to open the door and the yellow raincoat man walked inside to drop off the stuff.

"Hey, what's in there?" Robin asked. When she opened the door it was full of boxes.

"It's just more boxes" I said as I squinted my eyes to make sure I was seeing right.

"Let me check it out" Steve said as he tried to take the binoculars.

"No, I'm still looking" Dustin said as he held on to the binoculars.

"Lemmie see it" Steve tried again, he grabbed the binoculars and Dustin wouldn't let it go.

"Hang on!" Dustin said as the binoculars slammed against the roof making a loud noise. The men in front grabbed their guns and we all fell back on our backs to make sure the wouldn't see us. I grabbed Dustin's hand and squeezed my eyes shut. Water was getting all over my face.

We heard men yelling in Russian and we all looked at each other. We hurried up and got the hell out of there. When we were walking down the hallway in the back of the Mall we were dripping wet.

"I think we found your Evil Russians" Robin said with a smile as we walked the long hallway.

I groaned. We were all wet and it was nighttime and I was tired. I wanted to go home and sleep. Why do we always find our self in this mess?

I was outside on the roof again with Dustin. I yawned as he was looking through the binoculars. We still wanted to see what else the Evil Russians were up too.

"What do you think everyone else is doing?" I asked him as I was playing with my shoelaces.

"Probably something boring. They would be here with us, if they did not ditch us" Dustin mumbled as he looked through the binoculars. I hugged my knees and looked down. "You can leave and go with them" Dustin said as he looked at me.

"What? No. It's just weird. Because usually we would do this stuff with the others" I mumbled as I looked over at him.

"Well they are losers. Because when we get all the game there gonna be begging for us back" Dustin said as he kissed my forehead. I smiled at him. "Let's go back" Dustin said as he handed out hsi hand for me. I grabbed it and we got back to Scoops.

"That keycard opens the door, but unfortunately, the Russian with this keycard also has a massive gun" I groaned as I sat down on a chair and informed Robin and Steve. "Whatever's in this room, whatever's in those boxes, they really don't want anybody finding it." I told him. Robin and Steve were all sitting while Dustin was pacing.

"But there's gotta be a way in." Robin said as he stared at her fingers in deep thought.

"Well, you know..." Steve said as he threw his hat on the table and leaned toward. "I could just take him out." Steve said.

"Take who out?" Robin asked him with a smile.

"The Russian guard" Steve said simply. "What? I sneak up behind him, I knock him out, and I take his keycard. It's easy." Steve said simply.

"Did you not hear the part about the massive gun?" I asked him as I gave him a look.

"Yes, Y/n, I did. And that's why I would be sneaking." Steve said as he used his hands to inanimate sneaking.

"Ah, well, please, tell me this, and be honest, have you ever actually...won a fight?" Dustin asked him. I smiled at the question.

"Okay, that was one time-" Steve said before I cut him off. He wasn't just going to forget about Johnathan.

"Twice. Johnathan. Year prior?" I said to him, I had to hear about it for a week from Nancy.

"Listen, that doesn't count" Steve said getting defensive.

"Why wouldn't it? Because it looks like he beat the shit out of you" Dustin said from bedside me.

"It was..." Steve tired to say.

"You got a fat lip, crooked nose, swollen eye, a lot of blood" I talked over him as I used my finger to mention all of his injuries.

"Things that all added up" Steve was trying to say as no one was listening to him.

Robin quickly got up and walked out of the room. We all followed after her to see what she was doing. She grabbed the money in the top jar and ran.

"Robin" Steve quickly said. "Hey, Robin! Hey, what are you doing?" Steve asked clearly making a big deal.

"I need cash" Robin quickly said as she continued to walk out of trh store.

"Well, half of that's mine" Steve said complained. "Where are you going?" Steve called out after her.

"To find us a way into that room. A safe way. And in the meantime, sling ice cream, behave, and don't get beat up. I'll be back in a jiff" Robin said before she ran off. I shrugged my shoulders and I looked at the boys. Dustin was eating ice cream our do the ice cream scooper which made me giggle.

"Oh, dude. Come on, man, not my scooper." Steve said as he took it away from Dustin and put it in his apron.
