Ratatouille: The amount of muggings and thefts in his area have skyrocketed, not to mention the ones that haven't been recorded or murders, and it's influenced areas outside of his territory.
Ratatouille: Nobody on the streets are safe and it only would've gotten much, much worse.

Ratatouille: Also, compared to other nights, that was one of the better ones. So much has happened in your absence, so many deaths from murders, accidents involving drug overdoses and alcoholics and even suicides from the truly terrified people.
Ratatouille: Even if it was only for a week, so many thought you had abandoned them or died and lost their last pieces of hope.
