I find myself sandwiched between eijiro and uraraka, preparing to watch the next matchup.

"so do you guys know who's up next?" i question the pair looking between the two.

"yeah, it's actually ashido and aoyama! this should be a pretty good match-up!" uraraka perks up.

"it's gonna be so manly i just know it." looking over at eiji, he has his fist clench's and is near tearing up. the sight brings a chuckle to my lips, reminding me of all the times i've seen this exact expression on his face.

"ONTO THE FIFTH MATCH LADIES AND GENTS! FROM THE HERO COURSES WE HAVE AOYAMA YUGA VERSUS ASHIDO MINAAA!" the crowd starts to go wild at the booming sound of present mic's voice across the stadium. even through my earplugs, i can feel the bass of his voice reverberating through my ribs.

in the blink of an eye, the match started with aoyama using his quirk to take down ashido. a bright sparkling light beams toward the pinkette but she easily dodges it and skates away using her quirk.

"i have an acid-type quirk! you'll just have to watch my match to see what i can really do miyamoto!"

i watch carefully throughout the whole match, ignoring the screeches of a certain purple-headed weirdo behind me.

at all of the beams aoyama is shooting towards ashido, she slides passed them with ease not looking like she's breaking a sweat whatsoever.

"woah they're really is cool huh." i stare down at awe just watching the match. aoyama has really accurate offensive with ashido having amazing flexibility in dodging all of his attacks.

aoyama's beam attacks starts coming in shorter waves with less strength in them. i can see the strain in his face as he tries his best to pull it together.

but to no avail. ashido can see an opening for an attack and used it. she flicks some of her acid straight for aoyama's belt and sends an upper cut to the sky.

the excitement of actually watching a match is enough to send me jumping out of my seat. i can feel the smile plaster across my face instantly. i start hopping around and cheering for both of my new classmates.

i suddenly remember where i was when i hear a light scoff behind me. embarrassed at my childish actions, i sit down and covered my ever growing cheeks of embarrassment.

"what a child." the harsh words of the boy sends me melting into my seat deeper.

"c'mon bakubro get in the school spirit!" eiji was up from his seat as well but he turns around to talk to the boy behind me. i pull myself together and turn around to meet with this 'bakubro' eiji spoke of.

my eyes meet with deep crimson that are slanted into a scowl. some of his spikey ash blond hair folds over his brows casting a shadow over his eyes, creating even more depth. he has one leg crossed over another that lays over the back of the seat in front of him.

"don't call me that you damned extra." he turns away from me and looks at my counterpart next to me. the boys face grows even more scrunched and he gets up from his seat.

he tucks his hands deep into his track pants and makes his way down the stairs to pass me. i keep my eyes on him the whole time, curiosity plaguing my mind.

"don't stare at me you freak! who do you think you are looking at the next number one hero like that?" he stops at the stair in my row, side eyeing me. if looks could kill, that murderous intent in his crimson eyes would be enough to put me six feet under.

"sorry! i didn't mean to stare like that! i just-" before i can finish, he stomps away like a child who didn't get what they wanted.

"eiji who is that guy? did i make him mad at me or something?" i feel as if i did something to offend the blond. i stare down at my feet and unknowingly my leg starts bobbing up and down at the mere thought of offending someone.

"no no you didn't do anything konomi. bakugou is always like that, it's something you'll get used to with time." with a soft pat on the knee i turn back to look at the red head. he's hunched down next to me with that smile that never fails to make me feel better.

he always knows what to say.

i return the smile back to him and turn to the arena. aoyama's being carried away on a small white stretcher and ashido was right by his side. reminding me that i should go check up on hanta after soon.

"with that match over, you know who you're going up against don't you ko?" eijiro's voice is suddenly serious. i glance back over at him to find that he's looking down at me. my head shakes side to side, indicating to him that i haven't a clue.

"it's back to the good ole days for us ko. i'm gonna give it my all!" i understood immediately and i feel myself become more serious as well. my smile drops and a confident smirk takes its place.

"i'm going to do the same eiji! don't you dare even think about holding back on me." i stand from my seat to face the taller boy who ends up looming over me.

with a determined nod between the both us, we turn away from each other and make our way to the quiet rooms.

as much as i don't like the idea of hurting my dearest friend, i'm still here to prove something.

that i truly belong here even with the extenuating circumstances.

not only to prove it to my fellow classmates, but also to myself.
