As the sun gently filtered through the curtains, signaling the arrival of a new day, Cece stirred in bed, feeling the weight of her six-month pregnancy settle around her. With a soft sigh, she stretched and slowly rrose from the comfort of her bed, the familiar routine of morning beginning to unfold.

Making her way downstairs, Cece found her husband, Sam, and his brother, Ed, already seated at the breakfast table. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the scent of toast and eggs. Cece offered them both a warm smile as she took her seat, her movements careful and deliberate, mindful of her growing belly.

As they began to eat, Ed's voice cut through the morning calm, breaking the peaceful atmosphere. "Sam and I have a meeting today," he announced, his tone businesslike. "We'll be gone for most of the day and won't be back until late tonight, probably around 5 or 6 am tomorrow morning."

Cece nodded in understanding, though a flicker of concern crossed her features. She knew how demanding Sam and Ed's work could be, especially with the responsibilities of their business. Still, she trusted them to handle whatever challenges came their way.

Sam reached out and squeezed Cece's hand reassuringly. "Don't worry, love," he said softly. "We'll be back before you know it. And if anything comes up, you can always call us."

Cece offered a grateful smile, appreciating Sam's comforting words. Despite the separation, she took solace in the knowledge that they would soon be reunited. As they continued their meal, the morning sunlight bathed the room in a warm glow, casting a sense of hope and anticipation over the day ahead.

As Sam bid farewell to Cece and Ed, he made his way upstairs to wake up his two younger siblings, Eve and Evan. He approached Eve's room first, gently pushing open the door and stepping inside. The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room.

"Hey, Eve, time to wake up," Sam called out softly, his voice carrying a hint of urgency. "Breakfast is ready, and we need to leave in ten minutes."

Eve stirred in her bed, groggily blinking her eyes open. "Okay, Sam," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

Sam nodded and left Eve's room, making his way to Evan's room. He repeated the process, gently rousing Evan from his slumber and reminding him to join them at the dining table.

Returning to Eve's room, Sam was surprised to find her still lying in bed, seemingly lost in sleep once again. Frowning slightly, he approached her bedside and shook her gently. "Eve, come on, you need to get up now," he urged, his patience wearing thin.

But Eve, wrapped in the comfort of her blankets, remained stubbornly unmoved. Sam sighed, a touch of frustration creeping into his voice. "Eve, I mean it. You have to get up," he insisted, reaching out to gently shake her shoulder.

When Eve still didn't respond, Sam's patience finally snapped. With a swift motion, he delivered two firm smacks to her bottom, the sound echoing through the room. Startled, Eve jolted awake, her eyes wide with fear.

"Ow, Sam?" she exclaimed, her voice trembling slightly.

Sam's expression softened, though the frustration still lingered in his eyes. "You need to wake up when I tell you to, Eve," he scolded gently. "We have things to do, and we can't afford to be late."

Eve nodded, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. she groaned hastily throwing back the covers and swinging her legs over the edge of the bed.

Sam offered her a reassuring smile before turning to leave the room, satisfied that his message had finally gotten through. As he made his way back downstairs, he hoped that Eve would learn to be more punctual in the future.
