Upon entering the waiting area outside the operating room, a nurse approached Ed, holding two phones and purses. "Sir, we recovered these two phones from the accident site along with these purses."

"Thank you, sister," Ed acknowledged, accepting the phones and purses. Upon inspecting the phones, he noticed multiple missed calls from Evan on both devices. A question loomed in Ed's mind – did Evan possess some knowledge about the accident?

"Does he know?" Ed questioned himself, the gravity of the situation sinking in.

Sensing the tension, Sam took the phones from Ed, unlocking one and immediately receiving a call from Evan. Responding with a mix of anxiety and urgency, Sam answered,
"Hello? Cece? Have you found Eve? Is she all right?"

"Evan" Sam replied coldly.

"Sam, is that you?" Evan's voice trembled on the other end.

Sam's patience waned as he sternly replied, "Young man, tell me everything you know about them right now. If I have to come home, you'll regret your decision for the rest of your life. I can promise you that!"

Panicking and unable to comprehend the gravity of the situation, Evan dropped the phone, leaving Sam and Ed exchanging uneasy glances.

While Sam's anger simmered, Ed reassured him, "Don't worry, Sam. If their absence in our home isn't well justified, they will pay for it. I will make sure of that."

With that, Sam, Ed, and Dan advanced toward the operating room, their minds clouded with anxiety and unanswered questions. As they approached, they saw James, the attending doctor, coming out. The expression on his face spoke volumes about the difficult news he carried.

"James, what's happening in there?" Sam demanded, his voice filled with both fear and anticipation.

"I'm sorry, Sam. I truly am," James sighed, his eyes conveying a heaviness that words couldn't fully express.

"Hey! What do you mean by that?" Ed interjected, his concern evident.

"Sam, we couldn't save your baby! We are genuinely sorry," James delivered the devastating news, and a heavy silence fell upon the corridor.

Sam froze, his mind struggling to process the heartbreaking revelation. The news echoed in his ears, and he felt a profound emptiness engulfing him. Ed, equally stunned, stepped forward, seeking answers about Cece, "How about Cece? How is she doing? Is she okay?"

"Cece is stable now. We are doing our best. We will shift her to a cabin, and then you can meet her. Allow us some more time," James explained, his sympathy evident. James, leave the spot.

As James walked away, leaving the trio in the corridor, the weight of the moment hung in the air. Sam, grappling with the loss of his unborn child, tried to find solace in the fact that Cece was stable. The journey ahead, however, promised more challenges and unanswered questions.

Ed, trying to be the pillar of strength, put a reassuring hand on Sam's shoulder. "We'll get through this, Sam. For now, let's focus on Cece and support her through the recovery."

In the midst of the hospital's sterile corridors, the three brothers stood united, each processing the shock in their way, as the echoes of the devastating news reverberated through their shared existence.

The sterile hospital corridor bore witness to the heavy emotions that filled the air. Sam, his eyes clouded with grief, felt a lone tear escape, trailing down his cheek. Ed, standing by his side, instinctively wiped it away, offering a silent gesture of support.

"Hey! You are my champ, Sam. Come on... cry as much as you need to! We are here for you. One cannot comprehend the difficult time we are going through!" Ed's words, though comforting, seemed to echo the weight of the moment.

Sam, grappling with a mix of sorrow and frustration, voiced his concern, "Let me tell you, Ed, if I find out that it's another stunt pulled by them, I will never, ever forgive Cece, and I will teach a long-lasting lesson to our siblings." His determination hung in the air, the gravity of his words setting the tone for the unfolding drama.

"How can Cece be so careless! She could at least take a driver if going out was that important! And did you look at Eve's dress! It's fishy, and if I am right here! I will make sure they regret it till their death," Sam vented, the turmoil within him bubbling to the surface.

Sensing the escalating tension, Dan, known for his calming presence, stepped in. "Sam, please calm down. We don't know the exact scenario." His attempt to diffuse the situation was met with Sam's resurgence.

"I have been very lenient with Cece. She ignored my instructions of not going out without me by her side. If she wants to bring out the difficult side of me, then let her win this game," Sam declared, his resolve apparent.

Sam stood in the hospital corridor, his mind a maelstrom of emotions. He glanced at Ed, who was equally distraught, trying to process the gravity of the situation.

Ed looked at him, puzzled. "Sam, what are you talking about?"

Sam clenched his fists, trying to control his frustration. "I love her. I love her a lot, Ed. She is an intelligent, capable, and independent woman. I've seen her grow, and I always wanted her to grow. But she needs to understand the importance of making the right decisions."

Ed put a hand on Sam's shoulder, trying to calm him. "Sam, this isn't the time to be angry. Cece needs our support right now."

Ed added, "Sam, I am not going to comment on your personal life or how you are going to discipline your wife, but I will say, go easy on her. As you lost your baby, she also lost her baby. Remember that."

Sam shook his head, his eyes filled with a mix of sorrow and determination. "I know this is going to hurt Cece too. She lost our baby, and she is at fault. I do forgive her, but she needs to learn that I always wanted her to stay at home and not go out alone because I wanted both of them to be safe. If it was necessary to go out, she could have taken a driver with her, but no..."

Ed's expression softened, realizing the depth of Sam's pain. "Sam, she's always been independent. She didn't mean for this to happen. Blaming her won't change anything."

Sam sighed, his anger giving way to vulnerability. "Decision-making is important, Ed, and she made a wrong decision. She has always been this childish. This is a high time I should teach her the importance of making decisions in life."

Ed nodded, understanding but also trying to offer a different perspective. "Sam, she's going through a lot right now. Losing the baby, the accident—it's too much for anyone to bear. She needs you to be there for her, not to scold her."

Sam's eyes filled with tears, the weight of the situation crashing down on him. "I know, Ed. I just... I can't lose her. I can't lose either of them. But she needs to understand the consequences of her actions."

Ed embraced Sam, offering support. "We'll get through this, Sam. But right now, let's focus on making sure Cece and Eve are okay. We can deal with everything else later."

Sam nodded, wiping his tears. "You're right. I need to be strong for them."

Sam looked at Ed, his eyes reflecting the storm of emotions within him. "No matter what, I have to be there for her. I have to make sure she knows how much I love her, despite everything."

Ed squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. "And you will, Sam. She'll understand. But right now, let's just pray for their recovery."

As they waited, the minutes stretched into hours, each one filled with worry and hope. Sam's heart ached with the weight of his love for Cece and the realization of how much he needed to be there for her, now more than ever.
