In the bustling halls of the school, Victoria sidled up to Eve with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Hey, Eve! Guess what? I'm throwing a party tonight, and you're invited!"Eve's eyes widened with excitement, but then she hesitated, her gaze flickering with concern. "Tonight? I don't know if I can make it. You know how strict Ed is about me going out."
Victoria smirked, brushing off Eve's worries with a wave of her hand. "Come on, Eve! You worry too much. Besides, when has Ed ever stopped you before?"
Eve nibbled on her lip, her mind racing with thoughts of consequences and reprimands. "But... what if he finds out? He'll be furious."
Victoria rolled her eyes, her tone laced with impatience. "Relax, Eve. We'll figure something out. It's just one night of fun, and you deserve it."
Eve shifted uneasily, torn between her desire to have a good time and her fear of Ed's disapproval. "I don't know, Vic. It feels risky..."
But Victoria was already scheming, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Trust me, Eve. We'll sneak out, have an amazing time, and be back before anyone even knows we're gone. It'll be our little adventure."
Eve chewed on her lip, feeling the tug of rebellion mingling with the thrill of anticipation. "I guess... but we have to be careful."
Victoria grinned, her excitement contagious. "Of course, we will! It's going to be epic, Eve. You won't regret it, I promise."
With a mixture of nerves and excitement, Eve reluctantly agreed, knowing that tonight's escapade would be one to remember.
As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Eve and Victoria hurriedly made their way to their lockers, their minds abuzz with plans for the evening ahead. As they exchanged excited whispers, Eve couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension gnawing at her stomach.
As they walked out of the school gates, Eve hesitated for a moment before turning to Victoria. "Are you sure about this, Vic? What if something goes wrong?"
Victoria flashed a reassuring smile, linking her arm with Eve's. "Don't worry, Eve. Everything will be fine. We'll stick together and watch each other's backs. Plus, it's just a harmless party, nothing to stress about."
Despite her lingering doubts, Eve couldn't resist the pull of adventure, the prospect of a night filled with laughter and excitement too enticing to ignore. With a nod, she followed Victoria towards their destination, the anticipation building with each step they took.
As Eve and Victoria approached the school gate, they spotted Dan waiting by the car. Eve's surprise was palpable, her brows furrowing in confusion as she glanced around, half-expecting to see Sam or Ed instead.
"Eve, what's wrong?" Victoria asked, noticing her friend's bewildered expression.
"I... I thought Sam or Ed would be picking me up," Eve stuttered, her voice betraying her uncertainty.
Victoria grinned mischievously. "Well, lucky for us, it's Dan today. Perfect timing, don't you think?"
Eve nodded reluctantly, still feeling uneasy about the sudden change in plans. As they reached Dan's car, Victoria leaned in conspiratorially. "Hey, why don't you ask Dan if you can come over to my place for some school work? It'll be fun."
Eve hesitated, her nerves getting the better of her. After a few false starts, she finally managed to blurt out, "Uh, Dan, um, could we... I mean, would it be okay if I, uh, went to Victoria's house for, um, some assignments?"
Dan raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. "Assignments, huh? Well, let me check with Ed first. He's out of the city for a meeting, but I'll give him a call and see what he says."
