A few days later...

Eleanor stormed out of the hall, her voice still echoing with frustration as she rounded the corner.

She found herself in a secluded alcove, where she engaged in a heated conversation with Lucinda.

"You're a liar! My father never cheated on my mother with some peasant again! He left her!"

Unbeknownst to them, two guards stationed nearby surreptitiously listened in on their conversation.

As Eleanor's anger flared, her voice grew louder, her words laced with sharpness.

Suddenly, the guards' presence was revealed, and they exchanged knowing glances.

Infuriated by the invasion of privacy, Eleanor's fiery temper ignited. She advanced towards the guards, her eyes ablaze with defiance. "How dare you eavesdrop on a private conversation!" she shouted, her voice ringing through the corridor. "You have no right!"

The guards, caught off guard by Eleanor's sudden aggression, hesitated for a moment.

But their training kicked in, and they took defensive stances, prepared to subdue the irate woman.

Eleanor, fueled by anger, even contemplated physical confrontation.

"GET OUT OF HERE!" She starts slapping the guards in their faces while Lucinda tries to hold her back.

Just as the situation threatened to escalate further, Aiden and Astrid appeared at the end of the corridor.

Aiden's calm demeanor faltered as he witnessed the commotion, and Astrid pointed urgently for them to go.

Understanding Astrid's plea, Aiden nodded and gently guided her away, their footsteps echoing with a sense of urgency.

They hurried towards Eleanor, who was locked in a verbal confrontation with the guards.

"Eleanor, enough!" Aiden scolded as they approached, his voice filled with concern. "You're causing a scene, and it won't solve anything!"

Eleanor turned her gaze towards Astrid, her frustration seething. "Why should Aiden mind their business?" she retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "He's just a poor boy who can't comprehend the complexities of our lives."

Aiden's jaw tightened, but he remained composed, stepping forward to defend himself. "Eleanor, it's not about minding our business. It's about standing up for what's right. We can't allow scandals in our city!"

Astrid placed a hand on Aiden's arm, her voice gentle yet firm. "Aiden is not defined by his wealth or lack thereof. He has integrity, kindness, and love to offer. You shouldn't belittle him based on superficial judgments."

Eleanor's anger intensified, her eyes flashing with disdain. "Kindness won't put food on the table, Astrid. You're blinded by naive notions of love. Aiden can't provide for you, he nothing and worthless! Why don't you be ashamed!"

Aiden's voice remained steady. "Love isn't about material possessions, Eleanor. It's about support, understanding, and being there for each other. Astrid and I have found that in each other, and that's all that matters."

Eleanor gritted her teeth as she points at him, "Shatter her heart and you will be killed"
