Inside the halls of the palace in Cassiopeia, Prince Randolf, the son of the abdicated Emperor Albert, returned from his journey to Laivudelle.

As he settled into his office, the faint sound of bells reached his ears, their chimes echoing with a haunting melody.

Puzzled, he turned to his officers, who stood nearby, their faces etched with solemnity.

"What are those bells? And why do they ring with such melancholy?" he inquired, his voice tinged with curiosity.

One of the officers stepped forward, his gaze fixed upon the Emperor, his own voice filled with regret.

"Your Majesty, it is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Thomas, General Eugene's bastard son, has been executed," the officer revealed, his words hanging in the air like a dark cloud.

Albert froze, his eyes widening in disbelief. A surge of anger began to well up inside him, threatening to consume his rationality.

"Executed? But why? Who dared to take such action without my knowledge?" Emperor Albert's voice trembled with a mixture of shock and rage.

His officers exchanged hesitant glances, their expressions filled with apprehension. Finally, one officer, bracing himself, stepped forward and spoke.

"It was an order from General Matt himself, Your Majesty. He deemed it necessary, citing Thomas's involvement in a plot against the crown."

Emperor Albert's shock transformed into a tempestuous storm. His face reddened with fury, his voice now thundering through the room.

"GENERAL MATT! HOW DARE HE TAKE SUCH DRASTIC ACTION WITHOUT CONSULTING ME? THOMAS WAS TO BE ASSIGNED TO A CRUCIAL ROLE WITHIN MY ADMINISTRATION! THIS IS AN UNFORGIVABLE BETRAYAL!"

The Emperor's control slipped away, giving way to an uncontrollable rage. His fists clenched, his voice filled with a raw intensity.

"SUMMON GENERAL MATT IMMEDIATELY! I WANT HIM HERE NOW!" Emperor Albert's command reverberated throughout the palace, his anger demanding immediate action.

As his officers hurriedly carried out his orders, the Emperor paced back and forth, struggling to contain his fury.

On the other hand, General Matt, his heart racing with excitement, had been engrossed in a thrilling horse battle when his officers interrupted his moment of triumph.

Their arrival signaled an urgent message: Emperor Albert Ives wished to see him.

His mind filled with excitement, General Matt imagined the possibilities that awaited him, envisioning a promotion or a commendation for his exemplary service.

With a sense of purpose, General Matt followed his officers into the grand palace, his steps filled with confidence.

However, as he entered the presence of Emperor Albert, the atmosphere turned frigid, shattering his expectations like fragile glass.

Emperor Albert's icy demeanor sent a shiver down General Matt's spine. The suddenness of the question caught him off guard.

"Why did you execute Thomas, General Matt?" the Emperor's words cut through the air, each syllable piercing like a cold blade.

General Matt's excitement faltered, confusion clouding his features. He struggled to find his voice, searching for an explanation that would satisfy the Emperor.

"Your Majesty," General Matt began, his voice tinged with a mix of uncertainty and conviction, "Thomas was a traitor, a manipulator and a leech!"

Emperor Albert's gaze remained tough, his expression inscrutable. General Matt held his breath, hoping his justification would be enough to appease the Emperor's concerns.

A silence lingered in the room, heavy with tension. Then, in a calm and measured tone, Emperor Albert spoke words that shattered General Matt's world.

"Execute him."

The command hung in the air, leaving General Matt stunned and gasping for breath.

The officers standing nearby swiftly moved to carry out the Emperor's order, their faces a mask of duty and detachment.

General Matt's mind raced, his heart pounding in his chest.

He struggled to comprehend the sudden turn of events, the betrayal he felt cutting deep into his soul.

"NO! YOUR MAJESTY, PLEASE!" General Matt cried out, his voice filled with anguish and desperation.

Tears streamed down his face as he fought against the hands that restrained him.

But his pleas fell upon deaf ears as the palace guards carried out their grim task, the weight of their actions crushing General Matt's spirit.

His cries echoed through the halls.
