MAGDALENA'S POV

I treaded cautiously through the bustling city streets, my eyes scanning every face, searching for the one I longed for most – Thomas.

I've been looking for him for years, I don't know where he is.

My heart ached with every passing moment, the weight of my absence from his life bearing down on me like a heavy storm cloud.

As I wandered, my frantic search for Thomas grew more desperate with each passing hour.

The city seemed to swallow me whole, its labyrinthine streets offering no peace or clues to his whereabouts.

My heart pounded in my chest, the fear of never finding him gnawing at my very soul.

Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a familiar figure. My breath hitched in my throat as I recognized Eleanor, standing at the edge of the crowd.

She was the last person I ever expected to see in this chaotic city.

My heart pounded in my chest as I stared at her, my mind racing with thoughts of what this encounter could mean.

A wave of emotions washed over me – shock, fear, and a glimmer of hope that perhaps, just perhaps, this unexpected reunion could lead me to Thomas.

In that moment, I knew I had to act quickly. If Eleanor saw me, she would undoubtedly try to flee, fearing my wrath for leaving Thomas behind. I had to make my move before it was too late.

ELEANOR'S POV

My heart pounded in my chest as I saw Magdalena, my eyes widening in shock at the sight of her.

She is nothing more than a bitter reminder of the pain and loss my mother had endured.

Looking at the environment, she is feared by people, thinking she was a lunatic who escaped from her asylum.

The death of my parents, a tragedy I held Magdalena and Thomas responsible for, weighed heavily on my heart.

As I quickly hid myself from Magdalena's view, a whirlwind of emotions surged through me.

Hate, anger, and fear intertwined, making it difficult to discern one from the other.

I couldn't allow her to see me, for if she did, I knew she would accuse me of Thomas' loss, and I couldn't bear the thought of her twisting the truth once again.

My mind raced back to the memories of that fateful day when my world shattered.

The accusations, the lies, and the heartache that followed had consumed me and my mother, leaving us with nothing but a burning desire for revenge.

I had hated Magdalena and Thomas for all my life, blaming them for the loss of my beloved parents.

Now, as I stood here, hiding from the very person I despised, I couldn't help but question my own motives.

Was I truly seeking justice, or was I merely fueled by the need for retribution?

Our eyes locked for a brief moment, and in that instant, I could see the desperation reflected in Magdalena's gaze.

It was clear that she was just as desperate to find answers from me, but her intentions were far from pure.

I couldn't risk letting her get any closer, for I knew that if she did, she would use her manipulative ways to twist the truth once again.

In a sudden burst of fear, I turned and ran, pushing past people in my haste to escape.

Magdalena's voice echoed in my ears, her screams for me growing fainter with each passing second.
