ELEANOR'S POV
Aiden and I shared a beautiful moment of love, passion, and deep connection.
We made love, exchanging tender kisses, and I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness.
We both went to the garden, he proposed to me and we got married.
And we both raised 2 beautiful children!
Suddenly, I woke up, still feeling the remnants of that wonderful dream. I was left breathless, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and disappointment that it was just a dream.
My mind was filled with thoughts, as I tried to convince myself that if Aiden could dream about me, then perhaps he might have thought of me too.
Isn't it amazing? We are thinking about each other, meaning, he loves me too.
In this state of mind, I began to engage in eccentric behavior, believing that my feelings were somehow reciprocated.
I opened the curtains, eager to see the view outside, hoping it would bring some clarity to my state..
Aiden burst into my room, clearly furious, and I still couldn't help but feel love for him. I greeted him happily, hoping to diffuse his anger, but he pushed me aside.
Demanding that I admit everything I've done to Astrid, he continued to berate me.
"Astrid is downstairs, now I want you to get out and admit all the wrongdoings!"
Despite his anger, I insisted that he loved me, and I tried to kiss him to prove my point
However, Aiden pushed me away harshly, his anger intensifying as he began to list all the reasons why he hated me and why I wasn't worthy of his love.
"YOU ARE NOT WORTH OF MY TIME AND YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF MY LOVE!"
Overwhelmed with emotion, I cried out in pain and begged him to love me.
I pleaded with him, even going down on my knees, screaming and crying as I tried to make him understand my feelings.
"PLEASE, AIDEN, PLEASE LOVE ME BACK, I'LL DO ANYTHING, PLEASE, PLEASE JUST ASTRID GO AND BE WITH ME, PLEASE LOVE ME!"
Amidst the chaos of our heated argument, Aiden's voice rang out with raw emotion.
"ELEANOR, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS! YOU'VE HURT ASTRID, AND YOU CAN'T JUST IGNORE THAT!"
Tears streaming down my face, I tried to make him see things from my perspective.
"AIDEN, I LOVE YOU, AND I NEVER MEANT TO HURT ASTRID. PLEASE, CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?"
As I reached out to touch his hand, he recoiled, his anger still burning bright.
"HOW CAN YOU EVEN ASK ME THAT? YOU'RE SELFISH AND MANIPULATIVE! I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVER THOUGHT I LOVED YOU BEFORE!"
My heart shattered into pieces as I begged him to reconsider.
"PLEASE, AIDEN! I'LL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT. I JUST NEED YOU TO LOVE ME BACK. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOUR LOVE."
Throwing my arms around his legs, I sobbed uncontrollably, desperate for him to forgive me and accept my love. But Aiden's anger remained unyielding.
"GET AWAY FROM ME! YOU'RE TOXIC, AND I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU. LEAVE ME ALONE!"
As the intensity of the situation reached new heights, Astrid finally entered the room, her concern evident as she helped me to my feet.
She glared at Aiden, her anger visible as she questioned his treatment of me and helped me get up.
"HOW COULD YOU LET HER KNEEL LIKE THAT? DON'T YOU HAVE ANY COMPASSION?"
Aiden, still enraged, defended his actions while lashing out at the root of their conflict.
"This is all her fault! If she hadn't gotten involved, we wouldn't be in this mess!"
The tension in the room escalated as Astrid slapped Aiden, her voice filled with determination.
"Stop blaming her! She's still worthy of love, unlike you!"
Despite Astrid's defense of me, I couldn't help but feel anger towards her for the role she played in the breakdown of my relationship with Aiden.
Meanwhile, Astrid continued to scold Aiden for his actions.
"YOU NEED TO LEARN TO BE MORE UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSIONATE! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO PUSHED HER AWAY!"
Aiden, his finger trembling with anger, points directly at me, his voice filled with accusation.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!"
I feel my blood boil as his words hit me like daggers. But before I can respond, Astrid, my loyal best friend, steps forward, her eyes blazing with fury.
"DON'T YOU DARE BLAME HER! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MESSED UP!"
Aiden's anger falters for a moment, and he starts to kneel before Astrid, begging for her forgiveness.
"PLEASE ASTRID, FORGIVE ME!"
But she refuses to let him off the hook. With a swift motion, she kicks him away, her voice echoing with rage.
"GET OUT OF HERE. NOW!"
Aiden, defeated and humiliated, staggers to his feet and shuffles away, his head bowed in shame.
Aiden, watching from a distance, sobs quietly before turning to follow Thomas, leaving us behind.
As the tension fades, Astrid approaches me, her face a mix of concern and sympathy. She holds out a basket filled with fresh fruits, a peace offering.
"Take these. I'm sorry for what happened."
Enraged and hurt, I snatch the basket from her hands and fling it aside, the fruits scattering onto the ground. The anger in my voice can't be contained.
"I DON'T WANT YOUR PITY OR YOUR HELP! STAY AWAY FROM ME! YOU'RE FAKE!"
Astrid's eyes well up with tears, hurt flashing across her face. She takes a step back, trying to hide her own pain.
"I don't want to be with Aiden anymore. I... I miss our friendship. Can't we go back to how things were?"
My anger intensifies, and I respond with biting resentment.
"No! We can never go back. It's too late for that! IF YOU DIDN'T STEAL AIDEN AWAY FROM ME, THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN!"
As Astrid's tears continued to flow, she spoke
"Eleanor, changing for a worthless man is never the answer. It's only when you lose something or someone that you truly understand the importance of cherishing what you have. You'll eventually realize that life is too short to waste on people who don't appreciate you."
Her words hung in the air, and I could feel the weight of her wisdom as I struggled to process the situation.
"Get out! I don't want to hear any more of your advice right now!" I screamed.
Despite my outburst, Astrid pressed on, delivering one more powerful piece of advice before leaving.
"Fine, I'll go. But remember this: when you lose the people who were once important to you, you'll learn to value what truly matters. And maybe, just maybe, you'll realize that you deserve better than the people you've been allowing to treat you poorly."
With a heavy heart, Astrid exited the room, leaving me to ponder her words and the implications they held for my future.
