"Don't look, but that new guy will not stop staring at you." Robin whispered to me as she looked over my shoulder. "What a creep."
"He's not a creep." I corrected her as I stared down at my textbook.
"He most certainly is." She mumbled.
Robin began drumming her pencil on her textbook as she continued to stare over my shoulder. I could hear her open her mouth to say something, but was cut off by someone pulling out the stool beside me. They were quick enough to sit down and open their textbook before I turned my head to see who it was.
"Hello, ladies." Billy's infamous smirk flashed towards us. I smiled back as Robin gave him a questionable look.
"Can we help you?" She tried, but I gave her a look to quit what she was doing.
"Ignore my guard dog." I teased. Robin glared at me as I looked over at Billy. "She won't bite unless I tell her to."
"Hopefully it won't come to that." Billy chuckled as he met my eyes.
"All up to you, buddy." Robin warned.
"I mean no harm." He teased as he threw his hands up in as a surrender. "I'm only trying to make new friends."
"What about the girl that kept trying to talk to you back there?" She smirked in response.
"The girl that kept putting her hand on my thigh?" My stomach twisted from his words. "No, thank you."
"Yeah, that's Rebecca." Robin stated. "She's known to be a bit touchy."
"Not my type." My heart skipped.
"She's no one's type." Robin whispered. Billy chuckled and shook his head. "I'm Robin."
"Billy." They shook hands. "Caroline. It's nice to see you again." He smiled at me.
"You two know each other?" Robin questioned curiously.
"We have gym class together." Billy spoke first. I glanced over at him, mentally thanking him for not spilling about the details of our date last night. "Last period of the day."
"Oh, the boys basketball period." She pointed out. "You joining the team?"
"Planning on it." He shrugged. "I'm not so sure the captain likes me."
"Steve?" Robin rolled her eyes from the sound of his name. "That obnoxious douchebag is a nuisance."
"He's really not that bad." I cut in.
"That's because he's nice to you." She told me. "He probably wants to get in your pants."
"Robin." I snap. I felt Billy's eyes on me as I glared at my friend. "He's not trying to sleep with me. He's dating Nancy. All I do is tutor him."
"So does Nancy." She stated.
"You know he needs extra help." Billy chuckled at that. I felt my cheeks begin to burn from the sound.
"Oh, I know. All that hair and no brain." Robin scoffed. "But, I would pick him over Tommy H any day."
"You're such a gossip, Robin." I chuckle as I close my textbook. The bell rings overhead, signaling us all to head to our next period. "Where are you headed off to next?"
"English Literature." My eyes nearly popped out of my head hearing him say those words. "You look just as surprised as everyone else."
"I'm sorry. I'm just surprised that-" I stuttered, not knowing what to say.
"That someone like me could take such an advanced class?" Billy smirked as he looked down at me. "I enjoy reading a lot more than you think."
"I'll meet you in the library." Robin said from behind me. I nodded over my shoulder before turning back around to find Billy a step closer to me. My breath hitched as I trailed my eyes up from his chest to his eyes.
