"You'll always hold a special place in my heart," she said softly, gazing at the city lights. I looked at her, overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment, knowing it wouldn't stay with me forever.
"And you'll always have me too, deep in my heart where no one else can replace you," I replied, meeting her gaze with a mixture of sadness and love. I gently wiped away the tears welling in her eyes, sharing in her pain with a bittersweet smile.
"Even though things didn't turn out as we hoped, I'm grateful for how you rescued me from my darkest times and gave me the chance to love you" I said, tears now flowing freely. She touched my hand on her cheek, my eyes closing as I fought to hold back more tears.
I looked up at the moon peeking through the clouds, a silent witness to our shared sorrow. Our eyes met, full of the weight of our unspoken emotions. I hugged her tightly, knowing our paths would soon diverge.
"You'll find strength, even in this shattered moment. I love you too, but we must build this wall between us" she whispered, clinging to me through tears. "Despite my friend urging us together, I choose this path to preserve what we have."
"Yeah, I understand. I'll always be here as your friend," I assured her, holding her close until I finally released her, gently kissing her forehead.
"If our paths cross again, I hope I'll still have a place in your heart" I murmured, kissing her cheek softly.
"Goodbye, my Seiiki. The moon is beautiful tonight, just like you. I'll watch over you from afar," I whispered as I left her behind.
