Kayla's p.o.v:Austin picked me up and slung me over his shoulder, carrying me back towards the car.
I trusted him...
But I was scared...
Scared of how easily he could kill me. He opened the door and slid me into the car. He flashed round to the drivers seat and started the engine up, while getting into the range rover.
For most of the ride an awkward silence lingered between the both of us.
I stared out of the window, watching the scenery outside pass by.
"What's on your mind?" Austin's voice made me snap back to reality. I gave him a puzzled look. "What's your opinion of me now... Knowing what I am?"
I ignored him and carried on looking out the window, when suddenly he pulled the car over to the side of the road, and killed the engine.
"Look at me." He commanded, his tone harsh. I could tell he was getting mad.
I turned away from him as far as my body would let me rotate.
"I've just told you, my biggest secret and your acting like a child. This is hard for me aswell. I understand you probably hate me for keeping this from you for so long, but I needed to know I could trust you Kay... And even though I'm a bloodsucking demon with no soul, I will never hurt you... "
He reached out to put an arm around my shoulder, I pushed him away, with anger.
Austin brought his hand back and slapped me across the face full force, feeling it start to bruise already, his face dropped.
"Kay, I'm sorry, I got angry, and-..."
"Stay away from me..." I whispered, tears stinging my eyes.
I unbuckled my belt, and climbed out the car, and for the second time that night, I ran away from Austin...
