Adhya's POV:
It had been a month since I saw Adishh off at the airport, and now it was my turn to board a flight back home to India. I was filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness. After 15 days, Adishh and I were to be engaged, and preparations were in full swing at both our homes. Yet, there was an emptiness knowing that Adishh was still tied up with work at the hospital and wouldn't be back until just before the engagement.
My parents greeted me with a blend of joy and tears when I arrived. Being their only child, my homecoming after such a long time was a significant event. They had missed me terribly, and the house was buzzing with a whirlwind of activity and emotion.
"Welcome home, laddu" my mom said, wrapping me in a tight hug. I could feel her tears against my shoulder. "We missed you so much."
"I missed you too, Maa," I replied, hugging her back just as tightly.
Dad joined in, his usual stoic demeanor breaking as he pulled us both into a warm embrace. "It's good to have you back, my laddu muddu. The house feels complete again."
And most importantly all my favorite food was prepared from both in my home and Adishh mom, so we planned a family dinner unfortunately Adi missed it, but he joined us in video call with his vegetable salad. Advish looted all my imported things, And he started to call me attige(sister in law) and I love It.
As the days went by, the house was filled with relatives, friends, and endless discussions about the engagement. Amidst the preparations, my mother found a quiet moment to sit down with me.
"Laddu" she began, her voice soft but serious, "you know how important this is for us. You're our only child, and seeing you happy means everything to us. Are you sure about this? Are you happy with Adishh?"
I smiled, taking her hand in mine. "Maa, I love Adishh. I know we've had our ups and downs, but I believe in us. I believe in our love."
She nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I just want to make sure you're truly happy. This is a big step, and we want the best for you."
"I am happy, Maa. And I promise, this is what I want."
One evening, as I was helping with the arranging for my engagement, my mom approached with my phone, it was from hospital that I should submit some important file so that I should go there.
I sighed with joy so i can see him, because on my boarding day he had a sudden emergency case so he missed it, i wont complaint about that because i know how is doctor life is, but missing him terribly. So I can finally meet him. "I caught up with work at the hospital, amma. So I should go for Bengaluru."
She nodded, So I'm going see adishh tomorrow.
Adishh's POV:
Back in Bangalore, life at the hospital was as demanding as ever. Surgeries, patient rounds, and late-night emergencies filled my days. Yet, despite the chaos, my thoughts constantly drifted to home, where preparations for our engagement were in full swing. I felt a pang of guilt for missing out on all the celebrations, but I knew this was necessary. Still, I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing.
However, amidst all the work and stress, there was a silver lining that kept me going: Adhya was coming to Bangalore. She had some work at the hospital here and would be staying with me for a few days. Just the thought of seeing her, holding her, and being close to her again filled me with excitement.
"Dr. Adishh, are you even listening?" Dr. voice snapped me back to reality.
"Sorry, doctor," I said, running a hand through my hair. He felt behind me and trishul.
"It's been a crazy few weeks."
Trishul chuckled, patting my back. "I get it, man. You have a lot going on. How's the engagement planning going?"
"Honestly, I feel terrible missing out on everything. But Adhya is coming here for a few days. That makes it a bit easier to bear," I admitted, a smile tugging at my lips.
Trishul raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Ah, so that's why you're on cloud nine. When does she arrive?"
"Tomorrow," I said, unable to hide my excitement. "She's got some work at the hospital here, so we'll get to spend some time together."
"That's great! You two deserve some time together, especially with everything that's been going on. Just make sure you make the most of it," trishul said with a knowing wink.
As the day went on, I found myself counting down the hours until Adhya's arrival. I finished my rounds, dealt with a few emergencies, and finally, it was time to head home. The thought of Adhya being there, waiting for me, filled me with a sense of anticipation and warmth.
The next day, I made sure everything was perfect for her arrival. I cleaned the apartment, made dinner reservations, and even picked up some flowers. I wanted to make sure she felt welcome and loved.
When I finally saw her at the Bus stop, my heart skipped a beat. She looked as beautiful as ever, her smile lighting up my world. I rushed to her, pulling her into a tight embrace, feeling the familiar warmth and comfort of her presence.
"Welcome home, love," I whispered into her hair, my heart swelling with happiness.
"It's good to be back," she replied, her voice soft and filled with emotion. "I've missed you so much." I said with naughty tone she glare at me.
We made our way to my apartment, and as soon as we stepped inside, I couldn't resist hugging her. It was a long hug, filled with all the longing and love we had for each other. When we finally pulled away, our eyes are fixed.
