Chapter Two - It's hatching?!

Glory woke up the next morning to the smell of Deathbringer's masculine scent and warm-yet-cool scales. Glory yawned and looked around, only to find the egg with a tiny crack on the top and it moving just the tiniest bit. Glory looked at it wide eyed and started tapping on Deathbringer shoulder. When Deathbringer didn't wake up, she started gently-yet-hardly shoving him. When Deathbringer finally woke up he looked at her with an 'why in moons sake did you wake me up?' face.

Rather than answering him, glory used her talons to grab his snout and point his face toward the egg. Deathbringer was confused until he finally caught sight of the egg. Deathbringer's eyes went wide, staring at the egg.

The egg cracked a little bit more until they could see a tiny little talon reach out from inside the egg. The egg kept cracking and another talon poked out, and another, and another! But the head never did really pop out. Now all of the dragonet's talons were out of the egg and the egg stood up. It started carefully walking with the dragonet's wobbly legs. Glory couldn't help but laugh.

The dragonet couldn't see and it walked straight into the wall with a tiny thud, breaking the rest of the shell. The dragonet crawled out of the broken shell and looked around with curiosity. Glory could tell the dragonet was female by the structure of her body. The dragonet looked at Glory and Deathbringer with her beautiful, dark purple, eyes.

Both Glory and Deathbringer stared in awe. She was a healthy, beautiful, dark purple, female dragonet. Purple was Glory's favorite color! Wait, was it? Well, it doesn't matter! If it's not, it is now! 

"What should we name her?" Glory asked. "Hmm..."

Both Glory and Deathbringer started thinking of names until they finally found one... or two. Glory had finally thought of one, and so had death bringer.

"Firefly!" Glory exclaimed at the same time as Deathbringer said, "Sun-Exploder!" Glory snorted at the sound of the name Deathbringer had thought of. "Seriously? SunExploder? That's all you could think of? Where in the three moons did you come up with that name?" Glory said as Deathbringer chuckled. "Well, I don't know, it just popped up in my head you could say. But enough of that, what about you? Why'd you come up with Firefly?"

Glory turn light pink at the end of her tail and wings. "Well, I just thought... it fits her." Glory mumbled. "Then Firefly it is"

"Thank you Deathbringer, I will make sure you get to name one next time." Glory said. Deathbringer's stared at her wide eyed as she said the words, 'next time'.

Okay, so yes, I may be having her as a big sister in the future! But I am not spoiling more than that! And that is not for sure! I do not guarantee anything! Just a possibility! It all depends on how I end up making the Story!

Btw, turns out my cat was pregnant and she just had her kittens, we got three healthy kittens! Hurray!

For some reason though, one black one wouldn't stop meowing for HOURS!

I don't get it. I'll send pics of the kits in the morning!
