Chapter Thirty One - Taken

Firefly knew they were young, but they were old enough. Firefly had turned two a few moths ago and now she would be turning three in another eight months. They were aloud to become official...

Firefly had just finished breakfast and noticed they had some extra time on their talons.

"Wanna go and do something outside?" She asked. Stargazer looked at her with his dark blue eyes. Firefly knew no matter what, she would be ok and live happily as long as she was with him.

"Sure. Where would you like to go?" Stargazer asked. "I don't know but I'll race you out of this place!" Firefly said before taking off.

Firefly ran over to the main room and bolted out of the cavern. She flew up, feeling the sun on her wings once again. Unlike other RainWings, Firefly didn't do suntime. She would rather fly as high as she could and then plummet down before catching herself. And that's exactly what she did.

Firefly flew up as high as she could, feeling the sun on her wings. All of a sudden she stopped midair and dove down all the way until she was only about one tail length away from the ground. Three, two, one, now! Firefly quickly opened her wings and swooped right back up into the air current. She could feel the wind along her spine and wings as she glided back to Stargazer who was watching her from the forest floor.

Firefly stayed silent and turned a light pink at the tips of her wings and tail.

She had never actually done that in front of anyone else. Normally Firefly would find a secluded space to do it.

Firefly didn't know what to say. All of a sudden she saw something move fast behind her and then she could only see darkness.
