VLANCE

I don't know when did all started. At first, I was still in denial about my feelings for him. I thought it's just a simple attraction; just like when we admire someone who is good looking or it's like when we see a beautiful scenery.

In the eyes of everyone, Duke is perfect and I don't think I could argue more. A side from the fact that he is a good looking human being; that any woman would definitely be smitten by his charm, he is also sensible and a very distinguished man.

But I don't think that's the sole reason why he had captivated me. Unlike other men, there is something in him that made me hook my interest in him.

He had shown me his true soul that no one head ever seen it. In my eyes, he is not the great Duke. The one that is refined and composed that everyone admire. Behind his perfect image, which the world only knows it, there was a man who is afraid of his flaws, which only me who can see it.

I felt like there was a sense of zeal just by the thought of allowing only me to see them. He gave me the access to his hidden world that no one had ever seen it. The way he loses his temper, the way his nose wrinkle or his face crumple every time he is pissed off, every little things he does makes me even more interested of him.

I never image that I would fall for him to the extent that I had given up everything for him--My career, my dreams, and even losing my self.

At first, my only goal is to endure his presense living with him, as married couple. As long as we both don't mind each other's business, everything will be in harmony. But for some reason, I just couldn't avoid that ill twisted fate that we have.

=FLASH BACK=

It's been about a week now since Duke and I had been living together.

Today is whatever day and my damn phone rang early in the morning. My deep sleep was interrupted by the loud ring and so my hands started groping everywhere until it reaches it.

"Wakey wakey, sleeping beauty!" Chinie, greated me in a high peach.

I grimmaced in annoyance. "Chinie, you dimwit! You almost damage my eardrums."

"Sorry na. Huy! Gumising ka na! May pasok ka ng alas nuwebe. Full ang load mo ngayon kaya hindi ko na dinagdagan. Check mo nlng sched. Mo na-send ko na. Alam mo na ang gagawin sige na dalian mo. 'wag ka papa-late."

"Hindi ako papasok. Sige na, bye."

"Vlance, ano ka ba naman! Ayan ka nanaman. Please, pumasok ka. Mapapagalitan nanaman ako n-" I dropped the phone call and turned it silent because I know that she won't stop bombarding me just to convince me to go to school.

Damn, I hate going to school so I'll just pass.

Before I could switch to silent mode, My phone rang but this time it was Vlad.

"Ano ba 'yan? Isa pa' to." I muttered in annoyance.

"What?"

"Where are you?"

"At school." I answered lying.

"I see you still have two hours before your class start. Can you come to the office? It's important."

"Why?"

"Your husband is sick. He almost passed out awhile ago and his so stobborn. We told him to go home but he insisted going to work. Can go come and pick him? I'm sure you're the only one who come convince him."
