Before I could even enter the room, We heard the shareholders were already in the middle of discourse, looming to intensify. They all sounds distressed, seeking for the path of hope.

I'm aware of what Vladimir had been doing throughout the course of his term managing the company. The shareholders are afraid of pulling their shares because this might lead him into a state of paranoia, causing him to insanely imagine things like betrayal... Once they turned back at him, they're already considered as enemies. And Vladimir don't just let enemies freely roam around... He makes sure to wipe them out before the they could even take a move. That's how wicked Vladimir had turned over the years.

The shareholders and the Board of Directors are very much aware of the issues Vladimir had been involved with, for the past years - From illegal transactions, to perjury and vast influence-peddling... All sort of bad business etiquette, like stock manipulation, embezzlement, tax evasion, and the list goes on.

But what else they can do? Just like a puppet show, were a puppeteer who controls the show and everybody else becomes his puppets with their limbs tied, pulling them with strings on his fingers.

He had taken over the Illuminati that serves as his command force, while his influencial connection with the corrupt political leaders of the country is in favour of his immunity from any lawsuit.

"Du - Duke?"

My entrance made everybody fell in silence. I even heard some of them gasped the moment they realized my sudden appearance. They didn't expect for me to come because I asked Ellie not to mention anything about me.

"D-Duke, what brought you here? You shouldn't be here. You will be in big trouble once Vladimir found out about this."

"Duke, I don't want to be rude but I hope you understand. Getting involve with you is like suicide. We shouldn't be dealing with you. Vladimir is a dangerous person. I'm sorry but I have to go," They stood up, one after another, attempting to leave.

Almost all of them were already falling in line to exist the room when I spoke, "I understand all your frustrations and fear..." Thank, God! They stop as if they were giving me a minute to persuade them. So, I took that very little chance. I can't be wasting it.

Without beating around the bush, I drew in a deep breath and then I continued, "If you think there's no more hope, then you are free to leave. But if you're fatally sick of him tyrannizing you and desparate enough to end this cycle, to repeat its history, then I'm here to fight with you. All I need is for you to trust on me."
