I did all my best just to convince myself that I don't have feeling for him. Maybe because we're married and we're oblidge to be together almost all the time. At siguro, dahil lagi ko siyang nakikita, kaya akala ko lang nagkakagusto ako sa kanya.

So I did hang out with Ellie everytime I have a chance to see him. Akala ko mababago ko pa ang damdamim ko kapag lagi kong kasama si Ellie. Akala ko ay dahil hindi na si Ellie ang madalas kong nakakasama, kaya nagbago lang 'yong napagtutuunan ko ng atensyon nitong mga lumipas na buwan.

=FLAHBACK=

Pasimple akong napangiti habang pinagmamasdan ko siya. He looks so tired and exhausted as he takes his rest on our bus ride trip, on our way back home.

Last night, we were stranded at Gondo. After the party at the Ylvania's, I received a phone call informing me that Ellie's clinic in Gondo was on fire and so I rushed and because Ellie is out of town for a medical mission, I have to check to see what I could offer to help. It was urgent that I just bring him with me. I think he was traumatized with what he has to witness. The place and its environment, the people and their customs, and even the food and transportation, were all new to him. I can't help but laugh as I remember how he had to survive the night.

If only I had my phone with me right now, I had already taken a picture of him but since I have not, I'll just cherish the moment and tressure this wonderful adventure with him in my heart.

Unconsciously, his hands moved and it landed on the my lap. His hand looks tought and veinous as a result if his disiplined workout routine. His fingers were long and slender, and his nails were neatly cut.

Biglang nawala ang ngiti sa labi ko nang mapansin ko ang marka ng singsing sa daliri niya. It looks like he never take the ring out of his finger since the wedding at nag-iwan na ng marka sa balat niya. Kung hindi lang namin isinangla 'yon, hindi ko pa mapagtatanto. I regret suggesting to pawn it. Ano ba kasing pumasok sa kokote ko at kung umasta ako kanina parang hindi ako apektado na isangka lang 'yon ng ganon kadali.

Masyado kang mapagpanggap, Vlance. Ano ngayon? Nagsisisi ka? Ginusto mo' yan.

Lumundag ang bus nang matapakan nito ang isang humps sa kanto, dahilan para magising ito.

"Oh, you finally wake up. How was your rest? Did you get a good one? I bet you did. You've been snoring loud in your sleep awhile ago." Umubra nanaman ang pagkapilya ko at pinag-trip-an ko nanaman siya. I love it every time he's being the Duke which only me who can see it. The Duke that is out off his composure.

"What?! I snored?"

"Uhm? Yeah. What's the big deal with snoring? Everybody snores, I snore a lot... and that's just fine."

He looks so embarrassed that he pressed his whole body on his seat, slowly sliding down to hide hoping he'll just get swallowed down.

"I was just kidding, you fool!" I chuckled. He sat up straight in relief when he realized I was good timing him, for the ninth time.
