"The results are all good, Mr. Imperial, we can schedule your surgery any time soon."

Dox and Duke were scheduled for an eye checkup today. Duke will have to undergo a LASIK eye surgery soon. The doctor also checked his one blind eye and thank God, the doctor found nothing for us to be worried about. The damage in his blind eye isn't contagious; It wont affect the other eye.

We discusses about the schedule of Duke's upcoming surgery and after, the doctor gave both of them some prescriptions. As per Madox's case, the doctor didn't recommend any surgery for him, because it is still not advisable for his age to undergo any surgery.

After the appointment with their ophthalmologist, we went straight to my favorite local restaurant - Kusina Master Karinderya. Mabilis akong nakilala ng mga tao pero mabuti na lang at hindi naman nila kami pinagkaguluhan. I think, my celebrity value is no longer as worthy as I was before, back when I was younger. He nodded. "Yep, lagi kami dito nina Kuya Laurent at ni Kuya Tantan noon."

"Tantan?"

"Oo, Nay, si kuya Tantan. He said, you guys were friends and he used to stay at the house when he was still a young boy. He's a scholar at the school but he already graduated long time ago."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Duke at napangiti. I'm happy to learn that Dox is growing up to be aware about the world outside the Elite Society. I hope we won't be ignorant to the world which is much closer to reality.

"Vlance, kamusta!" Paglingon namin, si Kusina Master, papalapit sa kinaroroonan namin.

"Kusina Master!"

"Nay, you know him?"

"Oh, anak mo pala 'tong si Dox? Kaya naman pala may pinagmanahan. Alam mo bang paborito niya ang crispy sisig ko?"

"Anak, halika rito!" Lumapit ang lalake, na siyang kanina pa abala sa pagkakaha. He's about in his 20's.

"KM, Junior!" Dox greeted the young man at nag-fist bump pa sila.

"Dox, andito ka pala... Busy kase kaya hindi kita napansin."

"Nanay at Tatay ko pala," Dox introduces us to him.

Saglit bago ako nakilala ng huli. "Hindi po ba ikaw si Miss Vlance? Dox, niloloko mo naman ata ako, eh!"

Natawa kami ni Duke pati na ang ama nito. "Gago! Seryoso ang bata! Mag-ina sila. Alam mo ba, anak, suki ko 'yan... si Vlance dito noong panahon. Siya ang dahilan kung bakit sikat ang karinderya natin ngayon. Madalas kase siya noon dito at lahat ng taga-ibang eskwela, dinudumog ang pwesto ko..."

"Nga pala, Vlance, si Gino at Dannelle, magkasunod rin na nagawi rito, nitong nakaraang mga araw... Si Gino, isang abogado na. At Si Dannelle, alam mo ba? May sarili na raw siyang maliit na negosyo... At may kanya-kanyang pamilya at anak na rin sila."

I smiled. Yup, the two are now very successful in their career. I met them few years ago. Gino is working for a law firm at si Dannelle, she is now the fashion Goddess, known for her trade name - Lady Elle. She owned the Gods & Deities, a luxury fashion brand which I think she established in Italy. Her business isn't small at all... She's just humble like she is always be.
