Her eyes adjusted to the influx of light to see a familiar figure standing in front of her.
"Agent Do, the distraction I gave them was a small one, so we need to hurry." Agent So quickly exclaimed.
Before she could say anything, he held her wrist and started looking for a new route.
His eyes were incredibly focused, and his facial expression was of the utmost seriousness.
She had never seen him so determined, razor focused.
This must be how he is on missions, she thought.
They heard a noise coming from behind them and he quickly pulled her into another corridor.
The only problem was that it was entirely too tight.
She felt her body pressed entirely against Agent So's body, not even an inch of space between them.
He held a finger to her mouth to keep quiet and soften her breaths.
They heard footsteps walk closer to them, but all Hana could hear was her walking into a corridor all those years ago.
She walked into the corridor of her house and her hands quickly went up to her mouth.
There in front of her were the dead bodies of her mother, father, and her sister.
There was blood spattered across the floor and she could see the pills on the counter.
She couldn't help but fall to the floor in tears.
She sobbed her eyes out for what felt like forever before a hand came to hold her shoulder.
She turned to see the face of a police officer, one with warm, kind eyes.
He helped her up, but she kept trying to go back.
Back to her family. Back to the person she was before.
They ruled the deaths as a suicide, and her entire world fell apart.
She should have died with them.
She had been at school. How could they do that to her?
How could they leave her behind?
She tried therapy, but it didn't help.
Maybe they killed themselves to get away from her?
After all, she was the largest disappointment of a child.
Look at her, struggling through school, barely keeping up.
She almost descended into depression, but she had gotten an offer.
Yung wanted to train her to become an agent.
Her friend, Do-Hwi had also gotten the same offer.
She was going to take it.
She needed to get out of the hell that was her mind.
It didn't hurt that the only person she could still call hers would be coming along with her.
She did become an agent, part of the best team in the organization.
But she lost Do-Hwi, her last person. All because she let him fall in love with her.
Love did stupid things.
All the people she had ever loved platonically had left her.
There was no room in her heart for anything romantic.
