THUS, the warm-up began.

Both teams stepped onto the court. On Shiratorizawa's side, Ohira Reon handed a volleyball to Kobayashi Aotori, in his reliable deep sounding voice, he said:

"Want to try the feel of serving?"

After all, in his eyes, Kobayashi Aotori needed to at least glance at the court lines and measure the distance to make those incredible line serves.

Kobayashi Aotori raised an eyebrow, surprised that even though he had shown weakness compared to them, Ohira Reon was willing to invite him to practice.

Ohira Reon... really is a good person, Kobayashi Aotori thought to himself.

Unaware that he had unintentionally been given the "nice guy card," Kobayashi Aotori, in Ohira Reon's eyes, smiled "confidently", pushed the ball away, and said, "Compared to me, Reon, you need to practice more."

T.N.: 好人卡 (hǎo rén kǎ): "Nice guy card" is a slang term used in Chinese to refer to being politely rejected in a romantic context. It implies being told you're a nice person but not suitable as a romantic partner.

After all, you are much more useful than I am.

After saying this, Kobayashi Aotori smiled mysteriously and left.

Ohira Reon fell silent, watching Kobayashi Aotori's retreating figure. He lowered his head and looked at the volleyball in his hand. When Kobayashi Aotori had already walked far away and couldn't hear his words, Ohira Reon spoke quietly,

"...Tendou." His serious voice instantly caught Tendou's attention: "What's up?" Tendou's wide eyes stared at Ohira Reon, filled with curiosity.

Ohira Reon remained silent, lowered his head, spun the volleyball in his hand, took a deep breath, and said,

"You were right."

"?"

"Sometimes, Aotori really is an unrepentant jerk."

He said deeply, lifting his head and tossing the volleyball high into the air. As Tendou's bunny-like mouth opened in surprise, Ohira Reon leaped into the air—

And at that moment, it was no longer a volleyball in his eyes but—

Kobayashi Aotori's head.

"Boom—!"

The sound was earth-shattering, startling Tendou, who jumped away like a rabbit.

Not far away, Shirabu paused for a moment, then said knowingly, "It must've been Aotori's doing."

On the side, holding the ball, Semi Eita affirmed, "It's definitely Aotori's doing."

Tendou nodded solemnly.
