"And then she walked down the aisle," Jungkook says as you, him and halmoni watch your wedding video on the TV.

"Oh she looked so beautiful. I couldn't even see her clearly that day, I forgot my glasses," she says expressing disappointment.

"You were looking really pretty that day," Jungkook whispers to you. "Wish I'd told you sooner," he adds.

You blush but keep yourself composed as halmoni is also sitting there with you two.

You watch the look on Jungkook's face captured so perfectly as he watched you walk towards him, he's just simply so mesmerized.

It's just such a shame your wedding night was wasted away. You two had so much potential to make something great out of it, only if both of you had allowed yourselves to let loose a little.

"You look so pretty too," you tell Jungkook to tease him. He fumes helplessly.

"I am going to bed now," halmoni suddenly says finding herself tired.

"Oh sure, we're also going to bed," Jungkook says getting up from the sofa.

Halmoni leaves the room, Jungkook ensures she's comfortably settled in her bed.

He gets back to you in the bedroom.
You understand why halmoni glanced at clock and quickly excused herself. She wanted to give you two your personal space so that you can get things started for what she hopes you two do at night.

You sit with your legs hanging down the edge of the bed. He walks upto you and stands in between your legs.

"Thank you for working hard for yet another day." he kisses you affectionately.

Since the morning he had been distant from you. After the argument you two had the previous night, you two didn't violate each other's personal space.

Now you're close again, breathing the same air and touching each other's skin.

"It was meant to be a secret. Halmoni made lunch for me today. She made so many delicious, nutritious things for me," you tell him.

No matter how much you insisted but she was very firm about her decision to cook for you. She understands it's not been very long since you left your family home and you must miss the food your mother cooked.

She cannot make the food exactly like your mother does but she tried to bring some sort of nostalgia back with the traditional dishes that are eaten in every home.

You called your mother later and introduced her to halmoni. Halmoni wouldn't stop praising you in front of her and how well she has raised you.

Although it was quite the opposite. You raised yourself most of the time. The twin boys born after you were the ones everybody in your household was focused on and you were mostly the neglected child. Your mother did confide in you whenever the three very patriarchal men, your brothers and your father, would belittle her. You would gladly provide her a shoulder to lean on.

In those moments, she was happy she had a daughter too. She feared what would've become of her if she was the only woman among them and there was no other woman to stand beside her when the men grouped together to attack her with their sharp tongues.

Jungkook washed the dishes after dinner. Said he would fight halmoni if it takes that but he won't shy away from doing his part.

In your home, the labour you and your mother put in was never considered worthy of significance. Here, Jungkook is appreciating you for it.

Your younger self could've never imagined that such men exist in this world.

"I wanted to ask you something," Jungkook says.
