"The flight is barely 1 hour long Jungkook can you not bother me please," You nudge him as he was dozing off on your shoulder.
"I'm not bothering you. I'm napping you and your shoulder seems to be the most comfortable pillow," he rubs his nose against your shoulder making you feel shivers run down your body.
You know he's only being this touchy because he's sleepy. Even though you're pretending like he's annoying you, you kinda do like sleepy Jungkook.
The flight ends quickly just with him napping and you reading on your phone.
The cab ride to the hotel is pretty much quiet too. Jungkook's mother calls asking if you both have reached safely. No other disturbances come your way, it's just the two of you.
At the reception they check for the booking. A honeymoon suite was booked for the two of you.
You look at Jungkook's uneasiness evident from him rubbing his head while providing your IDs.
"Hey," he calls you when you were zoning out looking the other way.
"Let's go," he walks with you to the room.
As you enter you don't feel excited about the special additions you get with the honeymoon suite.
The staff congratulates you too and wishes you a happy honeymoon.
You chuckle internally knowing it's going to be anything but never that.
"You can have this," Jungkook says pointing at the hamper.
"It's not just for me," you say.
It's labelled as a honeymoon hamper. You find flowers, chocolates, a wine bottle, a scented candle and a card game to spice things up with your partner.
Your partner doesn't even starts things so you don't know if he prefers sweet or spice.
You open a chocolate pack, take a bite and ask Jungkook to have some too who is relaxing on the bed after the tiring couple of days you have had.
"Damn I didn't knew getting married is so tiring, fuck." He yawns turning to his side.
"Don't you wanna get lunch?" you ask.
"I'm still full from the airport sandwich, you can go if you're hungry," he says yawning again.
You feel it must be a good idea to leave him alone for an hour or so to just take a nap.
You're also tired but also heavily caffeinated which he is not.
You go to grab lunch alone. Suddenly decide to break the diet you've been on and have a burger, fries and coke.
A technical glitch and a resulting long queue keeps you standing for almost half an hour. But your cravings keep you determined to not just turn around and order room service.
"Hi, are you here on your own?" A gentleman asks. He looks polite, kind, respectful.
You hate where fate has brought you.
You reply, "Oh no I'm here with my husband."
The man swiftly goes away, you understand he wanted to hang out with you.
Maybe this is what you should've done instead of getting married to the first decent man who passed your criteria of just wanting to get married.
You should've come to Jeju on your own, have a fling, be reckless and maybe you could've found love.
You thought maybe love wasn't all that important in life. Friendship, respect, loyalty maybe these were more important. But now you understand even those are sometimes a by product of love.
You return to your room with a bag of burgers and fries and two cokes. Something in your now married self couldn't help but think about your husband.
Jungkook was looking better when you came back. Maybe he got some fresh air or a few minutes of just lying down without any thoughts.
You don't know about his thoughts. What he thinks, what he worries about, what he cares about, what he plans inside his little head to do with you.
You find him watching TV and sit down by his side. He rewinds the video and checks what you brought.
He takes a burger out for himself.
"Excuse me, who said that's for you?" You ask trying to pretend like you don't worry that he might be hungry.
"Two of everything. You're just a little person. You will fall sick if you eat that much babe." he giggles but then realises what he just said.
"Sorry," he tries to brush it off by quickly apologizing.
"Say that again," you whisper to tease him.
"Go away," he rolls his eyes.
"If you just wanted to throw me away why did you marry me? You don't even like use me in that way, no dowry, no money. I'm pretty useless," you say leaning back into the pillows.
"Oh come on you've hordes of benefits lady." He chuckles. You feel like smacking him but grit your teeth instead. At least a dentist would be making money a few years down the lane.
"You said before our marriage. You despise injustice. What's happening to me is pretty unfair, don't you feel bad about that?" You ask, both of you stare at the television screen.
"What do you want?" He asks. You stay quiet, unresponsive. He stares at you with a dangerous gaze.
"No seriously. Tell me what you want? I'll give it to you." He seems to inch closer to you. You stay numb, unmoving in your place.
"You." He keeps looking at you even after you have answered.
"Now tell me can you give me that?" You ask. He pulls himself further away from you. He looks away.
"I'm a simple girl. I wanted to make a home with you, a family. I thought you'll also try and we'll figure it out together. Maybe love would spring up and-" you pause as tears flow down your cheeks. It's every moment of your life that you regret your decision yet you endure it all. You keep your hopes alive that something will happen. A miracle awaits you.
You stand up and grab your towel before heading to the bathroom. You never like to use what the hotel provides. You carry your own towel at all times.
But you know you saw something in his eyes when you spoke. You still want to make him suffer. He's just a man, how hard could it be to lure him to sin.
You follow Hyewon's advice.
When you go out to the room still wrapped with your towel pretending to forget your underwear, you let it slip a little, let a boob show.
Just an accidental Oops moment but absolute torture for him. When a man sees something like that he doesn't forgets it for all his life.
