Yuji was taking a walk around the school when he spotted Sayuri doing the same. He quickened his pace to catch up with her.
"Hey, Sayuri-senpai! Mind if I join you?" he called out.
Sayuri turned, her expression softening into a smile. "Sure, Yuji-kun. I could use some company."
They walked side by side, talking about random things and laughing. Itadori really was different from Sukuna, she thought, appreciating his easy going nature.
As they turned a corner, Yuji glanced at her curiously. "So, how does your cursed technique really work?"
Sayuri sighed, "I've never explained it to someone before." She paused, collecting her thoughts. "Well, I'm the second jujutsu sorcerer with Death Manipulation as my cursed technique."
Yuji's eyes widened in surprise. "Second? Who was the first?"
"During the Heian period or maybe before, there was a sorcerer named Master Sachiko. They mastered torture as their Death Cursed Technique and, fittingly, they died that way."
Yuji winced. "Ouch. That's a rough way to go."
Sayuri nodded. "I didn't mean to master psychology as my Death Cursed Technique, but I just did. So maybe I'll die in a mental hospital." She laughed coldly.
Yuji smirked. "Mental hospital? You'd have Sukuna as your roommate then."
Sayuri chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Oh, sure. We could share therapy sessions. 'Today, I cursed a whole village.' 'Oh really? I just drove someone to madness.'"
Yuji laughed. "Sounds like a sitcom. 'Cursed Roommates.'"
Sayuri shook her head, smiling. "Yeah, and we'd have our very own laugh track. Except it would be the screams of our enemies."
Yuji grinned. "And the theme song could be 'Stayin' Alive,' except, you know, ironically."
Sayuri snorted. "Perfect. We'd win all the cursed Emmys."
They both laughed, the tension easing as they continued their walk, the conversation flowing naturally between them.
"So, usually, my cursed technique works like it's supposed to work," Sayuri continued. "If I touch someone I can actively kill them using maybe Death Touch or Killer's Spectacle, there are more though. But it kinda drives me crazy, so I... well, I take pills and I don't use it much. It scares me, what I can do."
Yuji raised an eyebrow. "Pills, huh? I thought those were just for headaches."
Sayuri snorted. "Yeah, if your headache is a person who won't shut up."
Yuji laughed. "Well, at least you have a backup plan. Ever considered becoming a pharmacist?"
"Sure," Sayuri said with a smirk. "I'll just switch from killing people with curses to killing them with bad prescriptions."
Yuji grinned. "Sounds like a plan. 'Sayuri Gojo: Sorcerer by day, terrible pharmacist by night.'"
Sayuri laughed. "Watch out, world. Here comes the multitasking menace."
They continued their walk, the playful talk lightening the mood as they enjoyed each other's company.
As they continued their stroll, Sayuri glanced at Yuji thoughtfully. "So, what's it like having Sukuna living inside you?"
Yuji sighed dramatically. "It's like having the world's most annoying roommate who never pays rent. Seriously, he's such a baka."
Suddenly, a mouth appeared on Yuji's cheek, and Sukuna's voice rang out. "The annoying one here is you, brat."
Sayuri chuckled, unfazed. "Well, I can see who is more annoying."
Sukuna rolled his eyes. "Great, now I have two people calling me annoying."
Sukuna's mouth disappeared with a scoff, and Yuji looked at Sayuri sheepishly. "Sorry about that. He just likes to pop up uninvited."
Sayuri waved it off. "It's completely okay. I've had worse interruptions during my beauty sleep."
Yuji grinned. "Beauty sleep, huh? I thought you were born looking this tired."
Sayuri shot him a playful glare. "Watch it, Itadori. Or I'll show you my 'wake-up curse.'"
Yuji laughed. "I'm shaking in my shoes. Seriously though, how do you deal with it? Having such a powerful cursed technique?"
Sayuri shrugged. "It's not easy. It's like walking around with a loaded gun you can't always control. But you get used to it. How do you handle Sukuna?"
Yuji sighed. "Lots of meditation and trying to ignore his insults. Sometimes I just think of him as background noise. Really, really annoying background noise." (A/n: My opinion on Yuji's thoughs about Sukuna, lmao)
Sayuri smirked. "Sounds like my inner monologue during math class." (A/n: Same bro)
Yuji laughed. "Exactly. But honestly, it's tough. He's always there, lurking, waiting for a chance to take over. It's like playing a constant game of mental tug-of-war."
Sayuri nodded sympathetically. "I can imagine. It's hard enough dealing with regular stress, let alone an ancient curse king in your head."
Yuji chuckled. "Yeah, he's like an evil motivational speaker. 'Do it, or I'll kill you.'"
Sayuri laughed. "Maybe you should start a self-help series. 'Conquering Curses: The Itadori Way.'"
Yuji grinned. "Yeah, Chapter One: Don't Listen to the Voices in Your Head."
Sayuri snickered. "Chapter Two: How to Handle Insults from a Millennium-Old Curse."
They both laughed, the camaraderie and shared understanding making the burdens they carried a little lighter.
Yuji then looked at her seriously. "But really, how do you cope? I mean, taking pills can't be the only thing."
Sayuri sighed. "I try to keep busy, focus on training and missions. Talking to friends helps. And, believe it or not, just the daily grind of dealing with my powers keeps me grounded. It's a weird kind of normalcy."
Yuji raised an eyebrow. "Normalcy? That's a new one."
Sayuri shrugged. "Yeah, well, it's hard to be scared of your own powers when you have to use them constantly. And, you know, seeing how other people deal with their abilities helps too."
Yuji nodded. "Makes sense. It's like we're all in this weird club of people trying to not let our powers drive us nuts." (A/n: What the hell are they even talking about at this point?)
Sayuri grinned. "Exactly. And honestly, it's nice to have people around who get it."
Yuji smiled. "Yeah, it is. So, what's the weirdest thing you've done to keep yourself sane?"
Sayuri thought for a moment. "Well, I started painting. Turns out, using cursed energy to create art is pretty therapeutic."
Yuji laughed. "I can see it now—'Death Paintings by Sayuri Gojo.'" (A/n: Sorry Choso? T_T)
Sayuri chuckled. "Hey, it's a niche market."
