Sukuna walked alongside Satoru, visibly annoyed. "Someone kill me."
"Hey! Don't say that, my sister would be unhappy," Satoru said, skipping like a child down the path, his mood completely opposite of Sukuna's grumbling.
"This uniform is ugly," Sukuna scowled, tugging at the sleeves of his new Jujutsu Sorcerer uniform. The idea of him, the King of Curses, in this ridiculous outfit was a personal offense. "Where even are your second years?"
"You'll meet them soon," Satoru grinned, barely able to contain his excitement.
"And where is their teacher?" Sukuna asked with a deepening scowl.
"Kusakabe? Oh, he's out of commission. The fight left him with lasting injuries, so he might not return as a teacher," Satoru said nonchalantly.
Sukuna came to a sudden stop. "Wait! I was told this was for two or three weeks!" His sharp tone made a few nearby sorcerers flinch, even though they couldn't hear what was being said.
"We changed that!" Satoru said, practically bouncing as he spoke, completely unfazed by Sukuna's anger.
"Who even allowed me to roam freely like this?!" Sukuna sighed, rubbing his temples as if this entire situation was giving him a migraine.
"Me, of course. I threatened the elders, told them I'd kill them if they didn't accept you," Gojo grinned maniacally, like this was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh, thank you very much," Sukuna rolled his eyes while Satoru mockingly bowed, his over-the-top theatrics almost too much for the cursed king. "But why?"
"Why what?" Gojo tilted his head with faux innocence, a mischievous gleam in his eyes.
"Why stop my execution?" Sukuna asked, his tone more serious now, curious about the real reason behind this baffling act of mercy.
"Not like you'd agree to be executed just like that. And, anyway, I did it for my sister, of course," Satoru replied, his grin widening. "She's never wrong about her men."
Sukuna fell silent for a moment, folding his arms and looking down. His expression softened slightly, a rare, fleeting vulnerability crossing his features. "I hope that's true."
"It better be," Satoru said, his cheerful tone still there but with an underlying edge. His voice was light, but the unspoken threat was clear: hurt her, and even the King of Curses would regret it.
The two continued their walk, the tension of their banter settling into an odd, uneasy camaraderie.

"I'm having a headache with how fast people are accepting me," Sukuna grumbled as he walked hand in hand with Sayuri, casually licking at his dark chocolate ice cream. He still couldn't believe such a thing existed, but it was quickly becoming one of the few things he liked in this modern world.
"Say thank you, Sayuri-sama~" Sayuri teased, her grin widening as she playfully nudged him.
"I'd rather die, thank you very much." Sukuna smiled at her with that sharp, sarcastic edge of his, knowing full well it wouldn't faze her.
"Okay!" Sayuri jumped, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Don't literally kill me, darling," Sukuna huffed, rolling his eyes but not letting go of her hand.
"Aww, but I was gonna," Sayuri pouted dramatically, skipping a little ahead of him, her energy uncontainable.
"I swear, you and your brother share the same braincell," Sukuna mumbled under his breath, pulling her back gently, his exasperation not quite hiding the fondness in his voice.
"Anyway, Tuna Fish," Sayuri giggled, using the nickname she knew would irk him the most, "I heard you became the teacher of the Tokyo second years."
"I hate everything about this," Sukuna groaned. "I live for over a thousand years, wreak havoc, become the King of Curses, and now I'm a teacher at some Jujutsu school? Why do I even have to do this shit?"
"Because I said so," Sayuri beamed, her smile all too bright and commanding.
"Of course, your majesty, anything for you," Sukuna replied with exaggerated drama, bowing deeply like a servant at her feet.
"Hey, my brother's rubbing off on you!" Sayuri laughed, her eyes twinkling.
"That's the last thing I need," Sukuna muttered, though he couldn't suppress the small, amused smile tugging at his lips. His life had taken a sharp turn into the ridiculous, but if it meant keeping Sayuri close, maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
